A PPD exclusive term where the person feels as if their PPD is best described similarly to or the same as laser pointer syndrome in pets.

“Laser Pointer Syndrome is an obsessive-compulsive behavior in pets caused by the frustration of chasing a light they can never "catch". It triggers extreme, unmet prey drive, leading to anxiety, fixations on shadows/reflections, and potential self-injury.”
