PLOT: Beca gets dragged once again by Stacie to go with her and Bella for a school event, but during the event she is reunited with one of the people who picked on her for years.
It was a normal Saturday morning in Beca’s apartment, she’s chilling on her balcony with a cup of coffee in her hand watching the people and cars pass by until… Her phone rang. Beca looks at her phone and it was Stacie, what is the emergency now? She answers her call
“What’s up Stacie?” She spoke.
Meanwhile on the other line, Stacie is in her living room on a loudspeaker as she’s putting on Bella’s socks “Hey Becs sorry to interrupt, are you busy right now?” She asked the shorter woman.
“I was busy looking at people and cars passing by my apartment but I don’t have any agenda right now, is everything alright?” She enters her apartment placing her mug down on the table.
“Good, because I need your help- Bella honey, turn your ipad off, mommy is talking to Auntie Beca.” Stacie said.
Beca lets out a light chuckle hearing her best friend try her best to be a great mom to her daughter “I can tell, what’s the catch Stace?” She leaned against a wall crossing her arms.
“Can you go with Bella and I to an event for her school, Emily is out for a business trip and Bella was kinda upset so she told me to call you instead.” Stacie explained to her.
Knowing Beca, she’ll jump in front of a train for her best friend agreed to what Stacie told her, a few minutes later she left her apartment to go and pick up Stacie and Bella and drive to her school.
“Is this the thing you dragged me into?” Beca asked looking at her surroundings, there are parents everywhere along with their children “Yeah, it’s the annual parent-children day. It happens every year.” Stacie answered. Bella’s teacher, Miss Lawson walks up to them “Hello Miss Conrad, it’s great to see you again, is this the wife you’ve been talking about?” Miss Lawson asked Stacie thinking that Beca is Emily.
“Nope I am not her wife, I am a friend. Beca Mitchell.” She reached her hand out for Miss Lawson to shake "My wife is on a business trip, so I had to drag my friend here with me." Stacie explained, while her friend was talking to her daughter's teacher Beca noticed a familiar face in the crowd "You've got to be kidding me right now!" She whined out loud. “You good Becs?” Stacie asked. The person she saw in the crowd is none other than Aubrey Posen, Aubrey and Beca go way back but not in a good way. Aubrey always picked on Beca when they were kids; she mostly picked on Beca about her height and many years later, they are reunited with this event.
“Beca Mitchell, what a surprise.” Aubrey walked up to Beca, Stacie, and Bella. “What are you doing here?” Aubrey asked.
“What are you doing here?” Beca bounced the question back to the blonde.
“Oh I am just here accompanying my niece, Peyton, to this event. And I see that you’ve bagged yourself a supermodel.” If Beca had a dollar every time she’s with Stacie and people assume that she’s married to her, she’d buy a truck and run Aubrey over with it. “She’s not my wife first of all, second, I heard you and your niece are back to back champions and guess what? Bella and I will win this event.” Beca answered back at Aubrey.
“I know you Mitchell, you’re all bark, no bite.” Aubrey said, adding more flame to the fire. “Okay you two, cut the barking and snarling out.” Stacie drags Beca away from Aubrey and Peyton “I am not finished with you Posen!” Beca yelled out one last time all Aubrey did was laugh.
Aubrey faces her niece and they do a one on one pep talk “Alright Peyton, you know what to do. I know that your parents are super busy all of the time, but remember what I told you?”
“Kick their shins and go for the gold!” Peyton continued
“Exactly.” Aubrey said with a big smile on her face.
Meanwhile on the other side of the field, Beca and Stacie give their own pep talk to Bella “Alright kiddo, you know the drill; if you win, then you win.” Beca mentioned “Also be a good sport, don’t act all high and mighty, the only thing that matters here is that we have fun.” Stacie added, Bella nodded and high fived Beca and Stacie.
Then the games began.
The games were a mix of students only and students with parents (or guardians), The ones who are mostly going head to head with each other are Bella and Peyton cause Beca and Stacie are as competitive as Aubrey. Screaming from the top of their lungs cheering for their kids, which annoyed some of the parents at some point. A few games later, they are down to their final game. “Okay this last game is for the parents and legal guardians, get ready to unleash your inner NFL players we’re playing a game of football!” The host announced, Bella looks at her mom and her aunt “Mommy, Auntie Beca! You need to play this game.” The younger Conrad convinced her mother and aunt to join. Peyton glances at Bella convincing Beca and Stacie and looks back at her aunt “You don’t need to say anything kid, I am joining that game.” Aubrey brisk walked to the middle of the field where the Parents and Guardians who are playing this game, Beca and Stacie are on the same team while Aubrey is on the opposite team.
“I got my eyes on you Posen.” Beca taunted the blonde rolling her sleeves up.
Aubrey snickered, stretching “Whatever.”
Everyone got into position and as they heard the sound of the whistle, the game started. The kids are cheering for their parents and guardians in the game, one of the parents passes the ball to Stacie and she looks for Beca and throws the ball at her “I got it!” Beca yelled and is now being chased by the opposing team, but out of all the members from the other team, Aubrey was sprinting and pushing people away as Beca ran to get a touchdown. Aubrey then tackles Beca, leaving the both of them in a very awkward position. Stacie looks at the current situation and starts laughing uncontrollably, Beca opens her eyes to see Aubrey is on top of her which made her blush in embarrassment “Finally.” Aubrey said. Beca smiles at the blonde which made Aubrey raise a brow “TOUCHDOWN!” The referee yelled. Aubrey gets off of Beca and groans rolling her eyes, Stacie helps the shorter woman get back up again. “GUESS WHO’S THE LOSER NOW POSEN?!?” Beca bragged while she’s laughing.
After the event, Beca is seen getting in her car but was stopped by Aubrey “Hey, Beca a word?” Beca turns around and walks up to the blonde “How can I help you?” She asked, “I just want to say that game was amazing, it’s also been years since I’ve seen you so this really brought back a lot of memories from middle school.” Aubrey smiled, but not a cocky smile it’s more of a soft and gentle smile.
Beca chuckled “Well color me shocked.” She said.
The two of them just stood there not talking for a good second, Aubrey clears her throat and scratches the back of her neck “Do you uh… Have somewhere to go this week?” She asked. Is Aubrey asking her out? After she tackled her into the ground thirty minutes ago?
Beca looked at her surroundings before locking eyes with the other woman and slowly shook her head “No…? Also are you asking me out?” A confused smile formed on Beca’s face, Aubrey’s eyes widened “What? Me? Asking you out?” She lets out a nervous chuckle “Yes.” She answered very straightforwardly. “And so it’s a date? I love that, pick me up at six.” Beca agreed, she did her famous two finger salute at the blonde and left. Aubrey just stood there with a smile on her face and headed to her car, leaving the venue knowing that her and Beca have officially moved on from being up on each other's nerves to people who’d show affection towards each other.

Post PP3 AU: A few months into their attempt at a romantic relationship after years of dancing around their feelings for each other, Beca begins pulling away. Chloe has no idea what to make of this. Though they’ve grown since their days at Barden, old habits die hard...especially their issues with communication.
For an anonymous contributor to @ppfandomdrive who donated to a cause/charity of their choice at the end of August—thank you for supporting a cause and thank you for thinking of the fandom drive! Your prompt was: Bechloe + angst, of the established relationship kind (a la “Rock Bottom” by Hailee Steinfeld)
Bechloe Office Affair AU: Beca and Chloe are working late one night at the office. They were supposed to be working on their magazine article assignments, but one thing leads to another and, well, they get busted.
This is for @aliciameade for her donatation to @ppfandomdrive. Your donation is greatly appreciated. She requested Bechloe + implied smut which I think I might have bypassed the “implied” part and just went right for it so #sorrynotsorry.

“People are going to know what we’re doing,” Beca says between the hard, demanding kisses she and Chloe are exchanging.
“I don’t care,” Chloe breathes before kissing her particularly deeply.
Beca had been the one to suggest a date night at a drive-in movie theater. They’d had to rent a car and drive more than an hour to get to the nearest one, but Chloe had swooned at the vintage romance of it, and even more so when Beca told her Rebel Without a Cause would be playing. And she’d really leaned into it, suggesting they play dress-up a little, pulling out her black leather jacket from the closet as an example.
No one could say Beca didn’t know how to sweep Chloe off her feet.
Had she considered the possibilities of some risky business during the movie? Of course.
She’d even been the one to initiate it, using the classic yawn-and-stretch move to put her arm around Chloe’s shoulders which were already donning Beca’s loaned jacket when she mentioned she was chilly but didn’t want to run the car and its heater. Chloe had giggled as she shifted so she could rest her head on Beca’s shoulder in the front seats of the car, and at a quiet moment of the film, Beca turned and pressed her lips to Chloe’s without preamble.
She’d meant for it to be a nice little make-out session but Chloe had moaned and started to guide Beca’s hand under the poodle skirt (she’d originally purchased it for a 50s themed Bellas party in college and gleefully donned once-again tonight) and she knew there would be no turning back.
Her hand had almost reached the apex of Chloe’s thighs when Chloe broke away with another giggle and breathlessly said, “Let’s get in the back seat.”
“Yeah, okay,” Beca said as she watched Chloe get on her knees, shed Beca’s loaned jacket, and navigate her way through the space between their seats until she was sitting in the back, smiling at Beca, cheeks pink and lips red. Beca felt considerably less graceful about her own journey over the console and into the back than Chloe had looked, somewhat falling after the heel of her boot got caught on the gearshift.
“So much better,” Chloe said as she pulled Beca in and wrapped her arms around her neck to resume their heated kisses from the front seat.
And it was so, so much better. She’s not complaining when she says, “People are going to know what we’re doing,” but she is acutely aware that the windows in their rented car aren’t fogging up nearly as fast as it happens in movies, and there are other moviegoing cars parked on either side of them not more than 15 feet away and though it’s dark, there’s more than enough ambient light from the movie screen.
If she can see the people in those cars as her eyelashes flutter between kisses, she knows they can see Chloe and her.
For a few brief seconds, it scares her. They could get caught, get in trouble. Can you get fined for public indecency for having sex in a parked car if people are nearby? How embarrassing would it be for a theater worker to tap on their window and tell them they had to leave?
But then, as one of Chloe’s hands unbuttons Beca’s jeans while the other skillfully unhooks her bra beneath her white T-shirt—simultaneously—the possibility of being caught morphs into a thrill. It turns her on even more. She wants to take off her shirt but she knows that’s too much. It doesn’t slow Chloe down, though, as her hand pushes Beca’s bra up and out of the way so she can tease and palm Beca’s breast as their kisses grow increasingly desperate.
Beca’s hands aren’t idle either. She’s already pushing Chloe’s skirt up her legs when Chloe slid her knee over Beca’s thighs to straddle her lap.
There’s really no hiding what’s going on, now. They’re not sitting side-by-side. Anyone who glanced toward there car or walked by the rear window would see exactly what was happening and she listened to Chloe moan as Beca’s hand ran the rest of the way up her thigh until it was pressing between Chloe’s legs against wet lace.
“Don’t tease,” Chloe breathes before turning her face away from Beca in a silent request for Beca’s lips to pay attention to her neck.
Beca does tease her, though. She lets her lips travel her neck, teasing grazes of her tongue over soft skin. It’s all bare and on display, Chloe’s hair being tied up in a tight, high ponytail to complement her retro 50s sockhop look. Her moans are quiet and needy in Beca’s ear as Beca traces the contours between Chloe’s legs. The wetness there is tantalizing and Beca never tires of how aroused Chloe becomes.
“Please, Bec,” she says with a bit of a whine as her own hand works its way down the front of Beca’s open jeans.
It makes Beca gasp and she has to tilt and lift her hips to make room in her tight jeans and she and Chloe both use their one free hand to tug them down just enough.
“I said, don’t tease.” Chloe’s voice is steady this time and she’s pulled back enough to look Beca in the eye as her own fingers slip into Beca’s underwear to start rubbing circles over Beca’s wet clit.
The sudden and pointed lack of teasing from Chloe is enough to make Beca shiver, and moan, and use her thumb to push Chloe’s underwear out of the way. She runs her fingers down and back up until she’s matching Chloe’s pressure and speed. Chloe keeps her eyes locked on Beca until another moan escapes Beca and then they’re kissing again.
She knows neither of them is going to last very long; she can tell by how wet Chloe is and how increasingly uncoordinated her kisses are becoming until she’s just breathing in Beca’s ear. And Beca knows she herself won’t last much longer; there’s so much thrill in getting caught coupled with the need to be quick so as to not get caught, the way Chloe’s hips are moving, and what Chloe’s fingers are doing makes for a heady mix of aphrodisiacs.
“Fuck,” Beca groans, lifting her head off the seat enough to press her lips to Chloe’s neck.
“I’m so close, don’t stop.” The words spill quickly from Chloe’s lips and there is no world where Beca would even think about stopping right now, short of that looming threat of someone interrupting them.
Beca just shakes her head and presses her fingers even harder against Chloe’s clit until she’s falling apart, the moans of release loud in Beca’s ear and echoing in the car to yank Beca over the edge, too, to come together.
They emerge from the warm haze together. What once were crazed, messy kisses are now slow and lazy and intermingled with contented sighs and mischievous giggles when Beca points out that the windows are (finally) fogged up save for the windshield.
“I’ve always wanted to hook up with a hottie at a drive-in, you know,” Chloe says before kissing Beca again.
Beca smirks against her lips, amused by her own joke before she’s said it. “Maybe you’ll get a chance to someday.” She knows it’ll earn her a shower of affection to get Beca to take back her self-deprecation.
“I meant you!”
Beca just pouts playfully and crosses her arms over her chest, just now noticing how displaced her bra is.
Chloe bounces once on Beca’s lap in protest. “You are a certified hottie and you know it.”
Beca doesn’t try very hard to hide the smile that tugs at her lips until Chloe’s are pressing against them as if making a determined point. It’s a firm, stoic kiss at first but it quickly softens until Chloe’s pulling back with an impish tug of Beca’s bottom lip.
“I just wanted you to say it,” Beca says with a proud smile.
Chloe scoffs, but she’s smiling, too, and starts helping Beca tug her bra down and back into place. “You’re lucky I love you.”
“I know.” Beca leans forward to let Chloe hook it and uses the bonus closeness to kiss her one more time. There will always be one more time.

She hadn’t planned it this way. In fact, she didn't plan anything at all. When she found Chloe’s ring laying on the floor of her room, pending interviews and photoshoots vanished from her mind and she dashed out of her house, ignoring the yelling and threats from her team, and headed to the airport where she had dropped Chloe much earlier that day.
So now it’s night, and Beca is in New York instead of her interview with Vanity Fair in Los Angeles, and she has a single thought in mind. A single someone in mind. So, when the plane lands, Beca all but runs out of the airport central.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!”
The grey sky above her thunders and the first raindrops of what seems to be a storm start to fall. Beca curses at the sky under her breath and heads to the taxi area, ignoring the streak of luck of not being recognized yet, and takes the first one that she sees. Huffing the address, she braces herself and takes a second to gather her thoughts and feelings, recalling the events from the early morning.
***
“Thanks for the ride,” Chloe pulls out her bag and adjusts it on her shoulder “And the coffee.”
She slightly lifts the paper cup of coffee on her left hand with a bright smile. Beca pulls out the luggage from her trunk with a soft groan and sets in on the ground. In a quick, but silent interaction, Chloe extends her right hand to grab the handle but Beca dismisses it by taking the handle herself.
“Thank you for making hell a little better.”
The combination of tiredness of the late last night before and the early morning today are obvious on Beca’s voice, but her smirk is enough to let notice the sincerity in her half-joke. Chloe nudges Beca, teasing her and they start walking to the departures area.
“Just a little?”
“Okay, much better.”
The intercom voice rings through the airport minutes later, “Flight 181 to New York City, now boarding Gate 6.”
“That’s my cue,” Chloe takes a look at her airplane ticket and smiles at Beca “Thanks for everything, Bec.”
Beca smiles, in lack of any possible response to how grateful she was that Chloe had been with her, even if it had been for a few days. They hug, a little tighter than Beca is used with other people, but just right as she is used with Chloe. She hands the baggage handler to Chloe, who takes it and adjusts it to roll it with her as she takes a step back.
“Be careful. And text me when you land,” Beca tucks her hands in her pockets as Chloe starts walking away “Love you.”
“Love you too,” Chloe turns one last time and waves “Bye.”
As usual, Chloe keeps her promise. It is about half past one when Beca gets her text messages.
i’m home

“Beca, are you even listening to me?”
Theo’s exasperation takes Beca out of her thoughts about bright eyes and gorgeous smiles. She turns to look at him with evident annoyance. He holds her gaze for a few seconds before scoffing and running a hand through his face.
“What? I’m listening.”
“No, you’re not.” he sighs “Beca, I need you to understand. We have an incredible busy schedule from here to mid-August, and unless you change your attitude this isn’t going to be any easier. Alright?”
Beca nods, with her head low, and stands up to walk over to the door. She has to go to makeup and hair before going to get her outfit change. Since jeans and a shirt, being her most comfortable clothes, have already been banned to go on interviews.
“Good. Now, put on a smile on and go rock your interview. Alex and Kelly are waiting for you in the living room. Oh, and remember at five o’clock we need-”
She walks away before he can finish. Seeing her room door half open, she steps in, to make a quick stop and gather some will before another hectic day. She takes a look at the place, slowly walking by and remembering the fresh memories with Chloe from the past few days. Chloe, with her bright blue eyes and dashing smile, with messy red hair and contagious giggles. She lets her mind trail off with thoughts of her best friend as she stops on her tracks when she notices Chloe’s ring abandoned on the floor. She crouches down to grab it and a smile grows on her lips and-
Oh.
Oh.
She drops on the bed, realization hitting her like a bus and a mix of joy and alarm sparking in her chest. She loves Chloe. She is in love with Chloe. And damn her for not realizing her sooner. A sudden urge settles in her stomach and she stands up. She swiftly grabs her discarded grey jacket from the couch, and her wallet from the nightstand, tucking her phone on her back pocket afterwards. She looks at Chloe’s ring, and that’s all the reassurance she needs. With surprising ease, she swipes her passport from Theo’s forgotten briefcase in the hallway and sneaks away from her house.
She makes it to the airport in a shorter time than she expected, and before she notices, she is in a plane seat. Rolling Chloe’s ring in between her fingers, she contemplates calling her for a second, before remembering that Theo’s insistent calls -and possibly GPS tracking- is why she turned it off in the first place. Placing the ring back in her jacket’s pocket, she sighs deeply and sinks into her seat.
***
New York’s traffic and rain have always been the worst combination. All Beca sees outside is the exact same spot from ten minutes earlier with a much stronger rain hitting the taxi. Impatience growing stronger by the minute, she takes her phone out of her jacket but immediately puts in back into place; she will not risk turning her phone on. Not when she is so close. She examines the buildings outside: she is still very far from Chloe’s- their apartment, especially in a car ride with this traffic. In a blur of irrational decisions, Beca takes her wallet out and harshly gives the driver more money than the ride was worth, and without expecting change or an answer, she opens the cab door and stumbles into the street.
Taking a swift look to avoid any driver, Beca starts running towards their building. The rain is pouring strongly on her and the wind sneaks in her jacket; she is getting wetter and colder by the second, in full contrast with her burning legs and lungs. Her chest hurts, not exclusively from the exhaustion, and her clothes are soaking by the time she makes it to Verona Street. With ragged breaths, she hastily stops on the roofed entrance for their building and presses the bell to their apartment. And waits. And presses again. And waits again. Nothing. The strong silence from the intercom quickly drains any hope she might have. Taking a few steps to the sidewalk, she uses her right hand to cover her eyes and looks up. Her throat is burning, and the raindrops are hitting her in the face, but nothing hurts as their window curtains open and lights off. Chloe is not home.
Despair strikes Beca, her rough breathing becomes a strained sob, her hand drops to the side. It took her so many years to realize that, and Beca feels like an absolute idiot. Chloe is not there. Chloe is who-knows-where, doing who-knows-what, with someone else. With someone else. Someone who is not so fucking oblivious. Someone who is not Beca.
Her vision blurs by tears and raindrops alike. The initial adrenaline is wearing off, and cold suddenly hits Beca, making her feel alone and empty. The thought of Chloe makes her go numb, she has the urge to start running again, unable to just stand there. Her feet start moving with no actual direction, sadness settles in her chest, letting the rain pour on her. A pair of brakes loudly resonates in the empty street, interrupting Beca’s unnoticed sobs, and she barely registers that the car stops mere inches away from her.
“Beca?!”
It sounds like her, but God knows it’s just another dirty trick of her mind, making up for whatever she was going to tell Chloe initially. But the loud voice keeps yelling at her, and she turns to face it. Beca smiles widely through soaking strands of hair on her face at the front lights reflecting in bright red hair. Beca’s sobs turn into a choked laugh. Chloe is yelling at her, but Beca can’t actually understand the words because it’s Chloe.
In a dazed happiness, Beca barely notices the cab driving away and Chloe pulling her to the roofed entrance and taking out her key. The rattling of the keys is what snaps Beca out of her reverie.
"I have to tell you something," Beca declares after swallowing, her voice still a hoarse and raspy.
Chloe turns to look at her with wide bright eyes and damp hairs sticking to her forehead, incredulity obvious in her expression “What the hell, Beca?! What- I don't even know where to begin! How could you be so stupid? What did you- You almost got run-”
Chloe is cut off by Beca yanking her back into the rain, and squeaks at the raindrops on her neck, dripping to her back.
"If we go inside, I won't be able to tell you any of this," Beca interrupts whatever reproach was coming from Chloe; she is laughing with her head low "God, I'm an idiot. Please, listen to me.
Beca swipes the soaking hairs from her face and grabs Chloe’s hands into hers.
“I’m an idiot for how long it took me to understand what you mean to me. It took me… four championships, seven years, hundreds of songs, and a single ring,” she fishes in her pocket for Chloe’s ring “a single ring to realize that- that I’m in love with you. I love you, Chloe. I always have.”
Chloe's eyes are huge, but Beca can't really make out what is in them exactly. So naturally, she keeps going.
"I love you. I love your laugh, your eyes, your- God, everything about you. And- and you don't even have to say it back, but I don't think I could ever work the courage to-"
She's unexpectedly cut off by Chloe's lips on hers. In the second that her initial surprise lasts, she feels Chloe’s touch on her face, cupping sofly in contrast to her lips fiercely looking for more. Beca’s hands travel to Chloe’s neck, and pulls her closer. It’s not the thunder and rain what she listens to anymore, it’s her own heartbeat rumbling loud in her ears. Chloe pulls away with a soft laugh, and Beca can barely make it, too distracted in her daze.
"I can't believe it took you that long either." Chloe giggles, still close to Beca, put apart enough to get lost in her dark blue eyes.
"Wait, what?"
"I love you too, Beca."
The confession lifts a weight on Beca’s chest she never knew she had. She is the one to get closer for another kiss, and Chloe’s soft chuckles on her lips feel like heaven.
"I love you."
***
“I’m sorry.”
Beca’s voice is hoarse and raspy. She is laying down on the couch, with half open eyes and a light blanket on top of her. Chloe walks from the kitchen sink with a wet towel on one hand and a paper tissue on the other.
“It’s okay.”
Chloe sniffs, placing the towel on Beca’s forehead and kneeling besides her. She has a soft smile that contrasts heavily with her concerned frown. Beca holds her gaze for a beat, feeling Chloe’s fingers running softly on her cheek.
“What?”
“You are so stupid.”
Beca wants to laugh, but it comes out as a strained sound.
“Alright, shut up. You’re gonna hurt your throat more.”
“I bet you don’t want that,” Beca whispers with a teasing, but tired look.
“Who are you?” she comments in a low voice, still smiling, before blowing her nose “Your label’s going to kill you. And, no, I wouldn’t want my girlfriend being murdered for carelessness on her own career.”
She has to speak at that, propping herself on one shoulder, cocking her head “Girlfriend?”
“Well, that depends on your answer,” Chloe sneezes into her forearm. Talk about bad timing. Beca laughs silently, scratching her neck “Sorry. Do you want to be my girlfriend?”
Beca clears her throat, looking defeated “So I traveled all the way just to not get to be the one who asks?”
“I don’t know why you didn’t do it last night. Oh wait, yeah, because we were too busy getting sick in the rain.”
“I kinda want to kiss you.”
Beca teases, leaning forward a bit, but Chloe leans back, keeping the gap between them and slightly narrows her – a little irritated – eyes before countering.
“You kinda kissed me in the rain last night. So?”
Chloe sneezes again, as if on cue, which makes Beca growl “Still.”
“You haven’t answered my question.”
Beca holds her gaze again, like she hasn’t been thinking about it since the moment Chloe turned away to take her flight. There is something so bright and pure into her eyes, that Beca realizes she has been in love with that sight for too long.
