It's so dumb how most TADC fans infantilize Jax so fucking much just because he is mentally ill. People can say "I hate Jax because he's a misogynistic abusive asshole" and Jax fans on TikTok and Twitter will defend him to hell and back saying that "his actions are driven by his mental illness!" Yeah, no shit they are, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to hate the fucker or want him to die because he's still an abusive asshole who didn't receive much consequence for his actions. People with mental illness also need to take accountability for hurting others around them, and Jax doesn't really do that. He feels bad and mopes around, but he hasn't actually apologized ONCE yet. If people were being genuinely ableist and stigmatizing the disorders he has, sure, but most hate him just because he's shitty. Your fav is shitty. You're allowed to like and relate to him because he's not fucking real, but don't act so surprised or attacked when people rightfully hate on his stupid purple ass. This is fandom 101. If your favorite character is a bad person, people are going to hate on them. It's not their responsibility to cater for your well being just because you find a character relatable. As long as they are not being ableist, harassing Jax fans or degrading them for liking him, they're allowed to say whatever they want. They don't have to walk on egg shells just because he is mentally unwell. He's still a piece of shit.
