Adding onto this, I just want to say that Napoleon is ALSO taller than Joe Masseria. Which is a fact I'm sure Maranzano would be more than keen to point out c o n s t a n t l y

oh my god........ and there's also the whole thing of 'napoleon would have been born italian if he had been born just a few months earlier but france reclaimed corsica and so he was french but he spoke with a marked corsican/strange italian accent his entire life and didn't actually learn french until he was about 10' so i'm 100% sure maranzano would have managed to twist that into some sort of insulting jab at masseria, like "you already share so much with bonaparte that you, like he, cannot possibly be a REAL italian". im crying at meyer embracing the similarities to napoleon but masseria being like NO FUCK OFF. i'm terrible for laughing
