Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI) Excellence in Research Awards - call for submissions

The Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI) is pleased to announce the Excellence in Research Awards recognizing policy-related research that makes a significant contribution towards interdisciplinary understanding of a 21st Century problem.

Research awards are given each year in three categories:

·         Faculty

·         Graduate students

·         Undergraduate students

Faculty and student winners will receive a certificate, a small monetary prize, and will be recognized at the awards ceremony.

Application Procedure:

Nominees should submit (1) a published paper, book, exhibit or some other evidence of specific scholarly accomplishment in research; (2) a statement about how it contributes to our understanding of a 21st Century problem and to interdisciplinary research (maximum one page); (3) a C.V. or resumé.

Any faculty member, graduate student or undergraduate student at Purdue University may be nominated, and self-nominations are encouraged. Nominators should include a sentence about why the scholar and work in question constitutes a significant contribution to the finding viable alternatives to wicked problems.

Please send nominations to [email protected] by February 15, 2017, with the subject heading “PPRI Research Award Application.”  Materials will be reviewed by the PPRI Faculty Advisory Committee, with decisions announced in March 2017.
