It doesn't really add anything to the one I showed before but I want everyone to see it again so here we are.

Thinking about the fact that ppu Bernice keeps In touch with and is one of the few reasons the Krupp Bros still keep in contact.

Thinking about how she has or is entirely capable of seeing and scolding Blunder but also telling him that he's her son too and she loves him just as much even if she disagrees with his actions.

Blunder not knowing what to do with that information.

Jasper v ppu jasper: how their childhoods affected their parenting styles.

Let's start with Jasper. His dad wasn't around but he did have Krupp as his father figure. Krupp is the one who has had experience with a loving parent and is doing his best to replicate that. Of course he isn't perfect but the only other parental exposure is Bernice. I suppose she is ' nicer' to Jasper than she is/ was with krupp as she saw him as the replacement.

A fresh slate.

Someone she dumps her emotions into.

Anyway, Krupp does care for Jasper and gives him his all. The two have got a strong, loving bond that he can fall back on.

When kipper is born, jasper is using what he's learned from all the years Krupp his best to raise him. He's giving Kipper his all because Krupp gave him his all. It also helpful that his bond with his brother means that he's willing to fall back on him for help.

Ppu jasper was the unwanted spare who was brushed under the rug by his father. Krupp didn't have as much of an urgency/ incentive to be the father figure so John is his base and Bernice who is essentially the only one in the family who cares for him specifically. Her attention is divided so he's Fending for himself to a degree.

Krupp doesn't start stepping in until Jasper is already used to being on the sidelines. He'd been the favorite child up until then so him coming to try and help jasper didn't endear him to his brother. Jasper already didn't like Ben too much prior because of the who favorite child thing. On one hand he's grateful that his brothers doing Something. On the other hand he really doesn't like it.

When kipper is born jasper doesn't have a good base if any at all of what a parent should be. On top of this Mara has decided it was best for her to go her own way ( something jasper actually supports her on because they don't both have to suffer if one of them can better their situation. Originally the idea was for her to get a degree and a better job to support them and eventually help him get through school. She meets Scott and winds up marrying him instead leaving Jasper all alone).

Maras parents do offer Jasper a chance to let kipper be raised by them so long as he relinquishes his parental rights. Jasper recognizes this as him being swept under the rug again. He's already running on ' I don't want to be like dad' so this just adds fuel to the fire.

Ppu jasper is running on Spite and desperation to Do Better. He's going it alone and he sure as hell isn't going to be reaching out to Ben until he Has to. Even then he's swallowing his pride when he does.

This leads to ppu jasper to be more strict with his kipper. He's trying to prepare his son to support himself and stand on his own without him.

Ppu Krupp family Dynamics.

V1- where John and Bernice have their personalities switched.

John and Bernice's relationship wasn't perfect but they got along just fine. They put aside their differences and made things work once Ben comes around.

For Krupp, his family was pretty great. His dad was close with him and his mom loved him.

But then Jasper comes around as an accidental pregnancy. John only wanted one, Bernice wanted two.

In the timeline where they keep Jasper, John isn't particular fond of this extra kid. He isn't actively mean to him but he also doesn't actively interact/ is friendly towards him. Krupp was his favorite in this case. As far as John was concerned, Jasper was Bernice's kid, not his but he acknowledged the relationship when it was necessary.

Krupp didn't understand and even when he was older he still didn't understand although he did his best to reach out to his brother. When he's old enough, Krupp stands up for Jasper more often although by that time the damage is already done.

Bernice was doting enough on jasper to try and make up for it. Jasper was very much aware of the dynamic and in turn was more closed off and reserved.

When kipper came around, John was not as frosty towards jasper but once he learned that his son got a baby on the way, well, he went back to being cold towards him.

Perhaps more so.

Jasper cut off all contact with his family except his mom. He only reconnected with Krupp once his kid goes to his brothers school.

In the timeline where they don't keep Jasper, he's given up for adoption shortly after his birth. Krupp never learns much about his sibling except that it was supposed to be a boy and that his name would have been Jasper. Be doesn't get much Information and he doesn't learn why his parents did what they did. His relationship with his dad is tense as is his mom

The brothers reunite unknowingly when kipper starts going to JHE although they don't know it yet.

Jasper gets adopted by a nice family who had always wanted a kid. They changed his first name but made Jasper his middle name.

V2- John is a single parent.

Since Jasper is born in May, Krupp takes over looking after jasper for a while until John can arrange for someone else to come in so Krupp doesn't have to spend his childhood raising his own sibling. Especially without interfering with his school work.

Luckily for them, Meaners family finds out and essentially step in to help. The two boys/ families were fairly close but now they're a lot closer.

John is tired- he might sell the farm and go into a different line of work. He does his best to raise them both and give them equal attention. Krupp still has to play parent to Jasper at times but he's not struggling as much.

Their relationships as a family are overall a lot better. John here is more supportive to Jasper when kipper comes around and gives him the support he needs so he doesn't struggle as much. He leaves his business to him once he can take over and John looks after Kipper instead.u
