pr3tt (afro girl) and o54 (weird hair person) but instead of being in the outerplace games it's OFF game :]

pr3tt would be a npc that appears in random places, often very difficult to reach, and you can't fight her but there's a glitch that makes the fight background appear anyways. you can't get rid of it. eventually it shuts down the game and when you open it again it's all in spanish. sorry. she also puts silly hats on the judge and buys a pair of star shaped sunglasses from zacharie later on.

also yea that's the judge there. in the silly style

o54 is a stressed out npc that respawns often and will have a chat with you through the fight screen dialogue box as a kind of 4th wall break. other than that they're still nonverbal, like in the original game. they're friends with everyone :] her hair can't talk. if you fight her towards the end she grows the other three faces.

that's all i can think of! next are 32 and 1081 if i get the time

outerplace game pr3tt appreciation post :] aka silliest unreliable narrator ever. scenes referenced + some lore under the cut

i've decided to Expand The Lore™ so here's a tiny bit of it as of september 2022.

so, if you've played the games (you can read this anyways if you haven't, doesn't matter), you might've noticed that in the first one the text color for pr3tt is light pink, but is white at the start, until 1081 invites pr3tt into the house and gives her a purpose in the narrative other than being a conversation starter.

quite similarly, in the second game, a voice that's not part of the events and is there just to move the plot forwards is presented in plain white.

this is her too! in pr3tt's character sheet, she's described as a plot device and a connection to reality. Pr3tt's role is then The Player; she moves the first and second game forwards, and can also be seen doing that in the third game, though briefly.

even so, she's a notoriously unreliable narrator. she will often lie, modify events or distortion them for seemingly no reason other than making things interesting, as seen in the games. there's also white text in the games that does not come from her, but that doesn't matter.

being totally honest, for pr3tt it's a very close tie between wanting things to stay the same forever and wanting a few plastic fangs to glue them to her least favorite tea cups. and the fangs are winning.

1081 read The Bugman Lives! by R. L. Stine and since then he's been really wary of ..bugmen? or whatever. he's got normal fears too but this is funnier

hi, i wanted to know, is there an in-universe logic to your ocs not dying by just floating in space? i got the sense that their all dead because of that one thing about 1081 having the creepy figurine "since he stopped breathing" or something like that in the game, but since o54 does actually die i am kind of confused

hi that's uh. a Lot to answer. tysm for asking btw!!

first, they're not dead! (unless they died through the story), that's all i can actually confirm. in canon they can't die unless they're killed (which is why they can breathe anywhere), but that's only the focus of the first part of the story, and i haven't actually done anything for it yet. all the games take place in the third part as of august 2022.

the actual explanation i gave in the draft for 1081's comment (this one)

..is that it's just nonsense meant to make things more complicated. 1081 and Pr3tt do that a lot.

death in this specific oc project is weird, to say the least. it's no longer a given for the characters, but most of them are doomed anyways- o54 must die, the man on the sun must die, the world must end- and it does so three times (though you can only see two in the games). the story as a whole focuses on life rather than death and at the expense of it, so it IS a recurrent element, but it's not really feared as much as it is resented.

as for the skulls and the sun guy (who i am assuming it's the person mentioned in the ending of the third game), and just all the sun imagery in general, it's like a cultural thing in-game -for the time being. we'll see what i do with it next time i get the chance to make a little project.

does that make sense? keep in mind that i am just some guy and don't know much about worldbuilding and making interesting stuff. it's all for fun :]
