I was at a karate seminar the other day with my brother, hosted at Kernow karate club. The seminar was on "limb control and forgotten techniques" if I remember rightly, and it was taken by Iain Abernethy, whom me and me brother are massive fans of. Like, we listen to his podcasts, bought his karate DVD's etc. and he's quite a famous fellow So anyways, as we're practicing the entry to one of Funakoshi's forgotten throws, Iain watches my technique and says "Funakoshi would approve!" The amount of internal joy-screaming I did, honestly, that's got to be like one of the biggest highlights of my martial arts life.
