“Praey”

One could argue that the vessels were cursed with terrible luck from the time of their creation, but for some reason things usually tend to fall into place for Praey - all of the good in its life outweighs the bad by far. Their egg was taken from abyss by a nosk, but rather than devouring them on sight the nosk decided that the vessel would make more of a meal if it was fattened up. Praey played along until it was able to build up some strength and managed to escape the predator's den. From there it ran into a group of lesser mawleks who tried to devour it, but barely managed to avoid them by jumping up onto the nearest pillar until the mawleks gave up trying to shoot it down and wandered off in search of an easier meal. Aside from its surprising capability to escape from dangerous situations, Praey, while not the fastest of bugs, is capable of outlasting any pursuers on pure stamina alone. If cornered, Praey will defend itself with its nail though more often than not it's a tool used to facilitate another quick escape by pogoing off of its would-be assailants.
