Today's manuscript represents an interesting midpoint of the period where manuscript overlapped with early print. It is a collection of texts of hymns and prayers bound with slightly later printed pastoral works appropriate for a priest. The first 6 gatherings of the manuscript section contain 86 hymns and prayers in Latin with interlinear German, each followed by a German translation, while the last gathering of the manuscript section, in a different hand and slightly different format, contains 30 hymns in Latin all with numerical notation above words in the text and with marginal commentary. Written in Germany in the late 15th century. (UPenn Ms. Codex 1604)

Anne Boleyn (c. 1501 or 1507 – 19 May 1536) was Queen of England from 1533 to 1536, as the second wife of King Henry VIII.
The circumstances of her marriage and execution, by beheading for treason, made her a key figure in the political and religious upheaval that marked the start of the English Reformation.
