In these hard times, we sometimes ask ourselves if we have friends or if we have someone who truly cares for us. We are running a long race and sometimes we cannot see anyone in the path that is there for us. Do we really have someone who is always there for us through thick and thin?
Paul, who we think of as strong and courageous, needed someone to pick him up too. In Romans 16, Paul mentioned all the people who were there for him and who encouraged him to continue. He was so grateful for those people because he knows that he will not be able to last long without them.
Just like us, Christians, we also need people who will always be there for us to pick us up when we are tired. We need these people who will encourage us to continue the task that the Lord asked us to do. This is why fellowships are very important because we should not be a lone wolf but we are a pack who have the same goal ahead.
It is very important for us to have those people who will have our back anytime and who will always pray for us. We need to encourage one another because we know that our enemy will always try to steal us away from the truth, kill our faith and destroy us.
If we have someone who we can share our burdens and who can always pray for us, then everything this world will throw at us becomes bearable. Especially these hard times, we have brothers and sisters in faith who are suffering because of this pandemic and are almost giving up— it is our duty and out of our love to encourage and pray for them. After all, we have one goal which is to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).
So let us all remember that not all of us are in a good situation, and there are Christians that are being persecuted so we should pray, intercede and help them. We must continue the work God has entrusted to us and continue to encourage our brethrens through our prayers.
Let us all spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ— teaching all people how much Jesus loved us and has saved us from our sins. Let us become a good witness of the Gospel and build each other up because we know that everything works good for the people who love the Lord. Jesus died for us, saved us and made us a new creation because He loves us so much and we will have that salvation through faith alone. However, our enemy will always want to weaken us so we need each other to remind us to be steadfast in the Word and to continue spreading the Gospel to the people who have not yet heard it.
So now, will you pray for me?
