Thank you for my spot on the tour and for the choir of the book in exchange for my honest review. 𝗠𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 To publish the fourteenth book in any series is quite an achievement, so I already knew this would be a great read, and while it functions perfectly well as a standalone story, I felt I had missed out on a lot of context and information on the characters, locations, relationships, and events in the Kane and Alton story arc, by not having read the first thirteen books. That said, this was so good that I am now actively seeking out all the others. I found myself rather liking virtually everyone (with a few notable exceptions), and was rooting for Jenna and Dave all the way through. The supporting characters played their parts well, and only served to enhance my pleasure in reading this book. I enjoyed having absolutely no clue about the identity of the murderer for the majority of the book, and then getting it wrong when I thought I had put the pieces together. Overall, I found this to be a well executed, fast paced story which held my attention throughout.. I highly recommend this book, but would caveat that with the recommendation to read it as part of the Kane and Alton series for better context and backstory. I gave Pray For Mercy, by D. K. Hood, five stars, and look forward to reading more about Jenna and Dave in the near future. Hurricane Dorian Upgraded to CAT5: We have not seen a storm like this in a long while, things are very somber for me personally being a world away from those I love that are facing this head on. Please Send your thoughts and Prayers for everyone on the East Coast, in The Bahamas and Florida right now, and the other States in the projected /forecasted pathway of Hurricane Dorian. This is very real and very serious, as orders for mandatory evacuations have been sent , and the declaration of a State of Emergency has been issued for 5 States now. We send our hope and love for all those affected, facing this directly and indirectly , and that you stay strong, courageous and look out for one another for those in need in your communities and neighborhoods, to help carry one another through this storm & what it is threatening to cause. Stay strong, be wise and aware, love one another and strive overcome as best you can with what you have. As long as you have one another, you have everything that matters.
