Moths or The Praying-Mantis (ROUND 5 OF BUG WARS)
Moths
Praying-Mantis
Round 5 of bug wars huh. I’m losing ideas for bugs even though there’s probably millions of bugs I just want to see what can beat the popular moths.
I’m getting tired, even though polls are not so hard. I have to think what’s the idea and if the plan will even work. Anyways back to the round.
I’m not trying to post constantly, I’m just wanting to post on here for the funny’s and I’m mainly bored so yea.
Have a uhhhhhhhhh amazing day.
This “Halloween” thing, how is it done?
So, for those who do not follow us or know us in real life, we are an alien insect visiting this world called earth to study it’s unusual ecology and society. We have recently become aware of a holy-day known as “Halloween”, or occasionally as “All-Hallows Eve”. It appears to be especially popular on the continent of North America, despite it’s Gaelic and Catholic origins which would place it in western Europe instead. It also seems to be the High Holy Day of Tumblr.
What we would like to ask is: how is this holiday celebrated, in a step-by-step fashion. We know about the curious practice of “Trick-or-treating”, and it’s origins during the second world war, yet there are very little official guidelines for how this is done. It seems to have something to do with the human practice of cosplay and panhandling, at least in it’s modern manifestation.
We would also appreciate tips on how an organism such as ourself, who appears as a giant bipedal praying mantis, might disguise ourself in order to effectively partake in the festivities without causing a mass panic.
Also, if there are any places to “trick-or-treat” that give out preserved primate flesh as treats, please inform us so that we make take advantage of the situation. Distance is no obstacle, as we have what humans might call a “space ship”.
