Beautifully deadly #5 *Sneak peek!*
A quick (short) sneak peek at the new chapter for you lovelies!
Her heart was pounding in her chest, adrenaline spiking and causing her hands to quake. She moved briskly through the stone halls, not knowing where her feet were taking her, but just needing to be moving somewhere.
She gnawed her lip, her mind whirling as she marched. In her distraction, she failed to notice the soft glittering sparks pulsing to life beneath her feet with every step.
I wanted to share this pre-edit of Aramair because... well... he’s gorgeous and I don’t really have words to express just how pleased I am with it.
I’m going to list the CC used here so that I don’t forget to do it after I’ve edited the picture.

Chosen (Pre edit opening)
This is my work in progress opening for the story.
One
Pushing the porridge around the bowl, delaying finishing his breakfast as long as possible, leaving the table was the last thing Earon wanted to do. This was it. The day had finally arrived. It was his eighth birthday. The usual celebrations of ones birth more sombre than any other time could possibly be. Today the third child of the Wake family was leaving home, and there was nothing Earon could do about it.
He awoke to this morning painfully aware of its coming. He hadn't slept properly for weeks in anticipation. Nightmares clawed at his dreams, waking him in fits of sweats and shakes, an insatiable feeling of vertigo rushing over him, like the feeling of falling off a chair, the split moment when gravity has not pulled you and the chair hasn't let you go. At that rush, the drop, he would awake, but the vision was always different. He would be falling, well, about to, and it the feeling would chase him back to reality with a scream. His mother was on edge as well. She was resigned to this fate, as she had been from the second she knew of his conception, but it helped no more. Everyone knew what would become of the third child in a family. It was nothing any mother looked forward to, knowing her youngest at the time would be taken from her.
He finally left the wooden spoon to rest in the bowl. The grey gruel long since gone cold, even in the warm room. The room was overly warm. They must be moving again, he thought. With winter coming to its end, they would be heading south again, towards the better fishing grounds. In winter they are racked by terrible storms, so they always headed north, or south, to avoid the monsoons around the equator. With the fires stoked, the great machines in the heart of the island would begin to turn over. The propellers would turn and the islands of Irentice would begin its long journey south.
Hope you enjoyed reading, feel free to leave a comment or two.

let the devil dance
she burns so bright
to set his soul aflame
her dance a silent dance
of drunken ups and downs
and lazy figure eights
her malevolent light flaring
and fading
as she twists through the air
he follows as she leads
he dips at her dive
and soars at her rise
his every mimicry ignored
with an unheard prayer
he flexes and bares his soul
a timid spark next to her furious ember
she pauses at the peak
and with a final contemptuous flicker
—her only acknowledgment—
she flits off into the dark
lost among the litter
