Precedent studies: reading Denys Lasdun’s- Architecture, City, Landscape… His National theatre (1976) a post-war modern architecture is quite remarkable. It’s verticality and presence an element I want to extract and introduce into my work.

The Japanese House- introducing moveable, foldable walls into my civic building would create new spaces and multifunctional spaces. Transforming from many meeting rooms to a public events space. Could they hold seasonal events?

Conclusion 

After the ideation process and doing research on the many principles in relation to this project, the knowledge you gain from all of this is impeccable. Sometimes you sit and wonder how would a good composition be. And its with the help of these principles that we are almost given a guide, to approach the ideas from a different angle and make better of it. 

Principles are not to be taken lightly as it has proven to be the most dependable. But besides that, even the concept behind each idea is important. And that’s where semiotics, semantics and metaphors come in. 

The art scene nowadays is more about technicals and skills. Obviously that  should matter but we should not lose the conceptual side of our artwork. An artist could be just a title and can be given to almost anyone but your worth goes far higher than just a title. Create with meaning.
