I have a genuine question abt fiction kins! /g
I considered I might be a Miles Morales (from spiderman into the Spiderverse) fiction kin and a Donatello (rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles) fictionkin. I heard you can fictionkin for comfort if you see yourself as them (and the feeling can fluctuate a lot), which would work for me.
But then I also heard that you experience memories from the characters or feel love you were that character in a past life, which has never happened to me. Can I still fictionkin these characters? (Genuine question! Perfectly fine if I can’t, I’m just confused)
i am not the bestest at talking about kin stuff but i can try to help you out a little bit!
i think by “fictionkin for comfort” you might be talking about a copinglink? you could also look into clicks and hearttypes (scroll down a bit to see the definition for this one). though obviously you don’t have to use these terms if they don’t fit you or if you don’t want to.
and a lot of fictionkin have memories, but i know not everyone does (i don’t have very many), so you can absolutely be fictionkin if you don’t have memories. here’s a post about kin memories that you could look at!
i’m not really sure if you absolutely have to feel like you were them in a past life so i can’t say anything about that
