Looking At the details of his outfit i think he had the least amount of time between his battle and getting picked up

Especially since we know they want to take people alone, that's probably why they waited so long with torres , as he would have spent so much time in heavily populated areas during the war

We know he's still dealing with shoulder stab that is initial fight , because he keeps moving to protect it and it's a high possibility they grabbed him when he was out in the woods putting his brother to rest

Especially the placement of the blood , I don't think it's his, it's probably from moving his brother's body

this is my first movie/introduction to the predator franchise entirely but it grabbed me by my neck and threw me over its shoulder and havent put me down since and so while rewatching the movie i noticed a few cool details that i wanted to share

kenji — the sword — has three lines of black tattoo on his right forearm meaning he is a criminal. during the feudal era (also known as edo period) of japan, crimes such as stealing or murder would end up with the criminal being branded with tattoo either on their arm or forehead. and kenji had three of them on his right forearm meaning he was involved in theft three times. and after the three strikes rule, the next crime would end up with the criminal losing their limb so either way kenji lost his arm at the final act or not, he was bound to lose it at some point

ursa’s name means bear! very fitting considering that she acts like a momma bear and the fandom loves to point it out at any given moment. her son’s name — anders — means “manly” or “masculine” and is the scandinavian version of the greek name “andreas” and english name “andrew”

now, we had some discussions and theories about the clan of yautjas of this movie and we have mostly decided to settle on “oh yeah, they could potentially be a tribe if bad bloods” and while rewatching it, i noticed something. the “grendel king” aka the warlord predator has only one blade in his forearm thing. the other predators i’ve watched so far had two. the feral predator from “prey” had 2 blades, the jungle predator from the og one had two blades, hell even oni — the predator kenji fought — had two blades. but the warlord predator only had one and so too did his henchmen and the spectators. so what other predator clan/tribe we know so far that only has one blade in their forearm armor? the super predator from “the predator (2010)”. they’re more lizard-like in their anatomy than human-like compared to let’s say scar, wolf or the jungle predator. their tribe is more interested in racking up prey numbers than the honor code the more common yautjas have. so of course, it would make sense for super predators, the ones in the final act of the movie, to be more disregarding of the honor codes, capture worthy human preys who killed their own and force them to fight in gladiatorial combat for entertainment. they’re also slightly bigger than the common predator so the massive height of the warlord predator would make more sense

and one final thing to add is that the ship the warlord arrives in has a humongous face-hugger bone on it as an armory but also as a show of dominance and experience. just when you thought the face-huggers couldn’t get any more scarier, there are ones big enough to cover a whole ship..
