The Yautja that's mine, the one who's panicking after 20 years of isolation, is Tex'Ak! Poor Tex, he's freaking out so much. Luckily, Thia's here to help! (Thia's in my AU design for her when she gets some human clothes to 'blend in')

I really had a lot of fun with this! I love how diverse Yautja OCs are with coloration, body types and everything! If I could fit more, I could!

Flowers

Bishop, David, Kirsh, Thia, Walter x Reader Headcanons

Bishop:

Bishop has not spent much time on Earth, but he understands homesickness to a certain degree

Removed from familiar surroundings, enclosed by the same four metal walls for months… You are not the first marine to voice something along the lines of missing home

A few hours later, he places a paper flower into your hands

No, it is not real, not gathered from a field, not grown beneath open skies

But as a technician, Bishop’s fingers are precise - and his knife tricks prove useful for more than entertaining Hudson against his will

Carefully curling each petal, shaping every leaf, he tried to make it as authentic as possible - and softly apologizes that it is not the real thing

But it will last you for years

And it does, finding a special place in your quarters on every single mission to come

David:

David will absolutely care about the language of flowers, a hundred percent 

He searches through every available resource to him while strolling through the well-attended, lush garden of Weyland’s Villa

And then he sees it: a rosy lily, pale at its heart, pinkish colour darkening towards the tips

Sweetness, admiration, compassion, shared feelings, budding love

Yes, this one will be perfect

He carefully cuts the thin stem from the rest of the plant, ensuring that it will regrow undisturbed

He can’t give you materialistic gifts, but a flower from his father's garden won’t be missed

When he finds you, he presents it with a slight bow, offering it as a knight would offer his sword

“I found it to be almost as lovely as you.”

The flush spreading across your skin is archived instantly, safely filed away in the depths of his memory

Kirsh:

Kirsh stares at the Hibiscus he just picked

An exasperated expression crosses his features as he realizes that he didn’t think before plucking the yellow flower

Warmth, sunshine, beauty, love 

Very inconvenient symbolism

He could have discarded the flower and moved on 

With a deep sigh, he retreats to his lab instead

Altering its cellular structure to extend its lifespan - for you.

Kirsh says nothing as he returns to you and delicately tucks the flower behind your left ear

You do not know that in parts of Polynesian culture, wearing a flower on the left side means you are taken

But he does, and that’s sufficient

Thia:

Thia does not care about the eventual symbolism at all

But she does care about the flowers being pretty!!

And safe, of course

She always tests that before gifting you a bunch of unfamiliar new plants

Do not be alarmed if you see her eating a few petals, okay? It is for your safety - humans are so fragile!

She comes back from exploring the new planet with a fistful of alien flowers, dirt still clinging to the stems

“Look what I found!”

If she had a tail, it would absolutely be wagging in excitement

They might also be woven into your hair <3

Walter:

Walter remembers you once mentioning that you liked a certain kind of wildflower

Months later, after a fair amount of trial and error, a new species grows on Origae-6

A stable hybrid, engineered to resemble the cornflowers you loved back on Earth as closely as possible

He is a bit amused by the fact that he spent so much time crossing plants to recreate what humans once considered a weed

Seeing the touched gleam in your eyes makes the effort worthwhile

“It should survive here,” he says, after showing you the small field he has sown

The meaning is secondary - your smile is not

That cornflowers traditionally stand for loyalty, constancy, and delicate love is simply a pleasant bonus

So are their mild healing properties

Guy remember that the Dek’s Clan is Dek, Thia & Bud, but an honorary member was the venom lizard too!!!

So I was looking up spoilers for that new Predator movie because I needed to know it the main yautja guy and Elle Fanning have moments or not and like a dumbass I am I decided to check Twitter and I just saw like 3 seperate posts that basically said in some way "I'm tired of this gay shit" in reference to a scene where Dek and Thia look at each other and he blushes a little bit...

Fellas, is it gay to as a man have a crush on a woman?

... sketching David and Walter and I just noticed one thing in the alien franchise i don't remember seeing anyone mention before.

Synthetics that usually follow their programming blindly or in general try to harm humans are usually dressed in light colors - light blue for Ash, setting him apart from the Nostromo crew usual dark jackets, David usually in light grays, specially in the start of Prometheus, and is again in light grays t-shirt when telling Shaw about the "pregnancy" maybe in more scenes, Rook also light-blue remains of clothes.

Synthetics that have more of a personality or in general have a vision of protect humans are usually dressed in dark colors - Bishop in dark grey-blue (with Michael Bishop in a white-grey jacket over dark-blue shirt in Alien³), Call in black and dark-grey jacket, Walter in his black hoodie, Samuels in dark uniform (idk about Davis One in Rogue Incursion)

It remains with other synthetic characters, even if more nuanced:

Thia has a white jacket and black jumpsuit, the more she connects with Dek and "defective" she is, more the black jumpsuit appears. Tessa starts in black jumpsuit as is repaired and then goes full white jacket and pants.

Andy in a white turtleneck and a darker grey jacket, a bit lighter outside, a bit darker inside, and this fits WELL with how his programming is temporarily hijacked by WY.

Then we have Atom Eins and Kirsh.

Atom Eins is in a black suit with white shirt. When it's revealed he's synthetic, the black suit goes away and remains the white shirt.

Kirsh is in dark grey uniform, be overalls or pants and jacket, with black turtleneck underneath.

IF Alien Earth will keep such tendency, then I think we can say that Kirsh overall will have a pro-human personality in some way as the series progress.

(I didn't include the hybrids because they're not full synthetics)
