Pokemon GET TV used to have a segment called “Robin’s PokeCooking” and you can still access some of their pokemon-themed riceball recipes available on the original website. I've translated two recipes a long time ago and today when I was reading about #OnigiriAction, I've decided to post one more item from their menu!

[プレミアスイーツボール] Premium Sweet Ball

【Ingredients】

1/8 of an apple

Butter…10g

Granulated Sugar…1 tablespoon

Milk…450ml

Sugar…３tablespoons

Rice…２cups *The website notes the rice measure for cooking is ２合 (~300g), although only 160g is actually used for a single riceball.

Apple peel for decoration

A slice of apple cut in a circular shape for decoration

①〈Secret Point〉Add milk and sugar to the rice portion, then mix well. Cooking rice this way, it will be like a sweet candy.

② Cook the rice mix in a rice cooker.

③ Cut the apple portion in small slices.

④ In a heated frying pan, add the butter then fry the apples.

⑤Add the granulated sugar and mix well (picture 5).

⑥Spread some of cooked rice on a plastic wrap (picture 6).

⑦Place the fried apple on the rice (picture 7).

⑧Cover that portion with more rice and mold it in a round shape.

⑨Wrap a ribbon of apple peel around the riceball.

⑩Finally, add the round slice of apple to make the pokeball button… That’s all, enjoy!
