ok i need to talk abt this moment bc it like got me chocked up thinking abt it

this is a moment in book 1 where tiergan takes sophie out to the humans, having a little heart to heart and sophie doesnt know tiergan is involved with the black swan yet

and she asks him if the black swan are the bad guys

now, i want you to think about tiergan in this moment for a second. he is part of the collective, he knows whats at stake here, not just for the world but for him and his family. his best friend, the father of his son sacrificed everything for sophie and he knows that if they arent able to get her on their side that he will be gone forever. if they cant get her to not only belive that the black swan is good, but to want to help there is no way to heal prentice, no way to bring his family back together, if sophie decides that she doesnt want to help them he will never see him again, wylie will never see his father again.

and with all that it would be so easy for him to try and convince her on the goodness of the organisation, in fact for all the people undercover around her to try and feed her the black swans ideology, but they dont. he doesnt. despite everything that they have risked and everything they could lose he doesnt. he lets her decide and i dont know why this hit so hard for me for some reason bc like yeah i know they always say she has and always has had a choice, and its kinda difficult to trust that with all the things that have happened but yea, she does have a choice. in every moment that mattered she had a choice.

You know Kotlc has a lot of gay ships but none of them are as close to canon as tiertice. Also teirgain is so helpless in love.
