Social Media for Business - First Steps
The first step before creating your first social media page for your business is learn! The best method in learning, besides reading our post, is to listen! Visit Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and which ever social platforms you feel are best for your business. Now it's time to get a feel for how they work. Click the "Help" links for more info, and research how the social site can help your business. Here are a few links to get you started: www.facebook.com/business www.business.twitter.com www.learn.linkedin.com www.youtube.com/t/about_essentials Now that you've had a chance to look around and get a feel, it's time to get more familiar by creating personal pages on the main sites. This will allow you to get your feet wet prior to going live with your business pages! Now, try searching for your business, brand, product & competitors. Don't be surprised that people are already talking about you online and your business page is not even configured yet. We'll discuss Social Media monitoring later on, as this post is designed for the first steps in Social Media for business. My point being, your customers and potential customers have been engaged in Social Media for years, but it's NOT too late. Now look at your competitors and industry leaders, how are they using social media and the various social channels? Look for the most successful social media business users, ideally those who have great content, a lot of fans/followers, but most importantly, they have engaged users "talking about them". What content are their customers engaging in? What strategies are they using? What language/jargon & abbreviations are being used. What video, graphics, contest, offers and promotions are they using? This is not rocket science! However, it will take some time, so have patience and be prepared to take some notes. Next week we'll be discussing Social Media planning, strategies and goal setting! Until then ...All the best! If you have any questions, please let me know. [email protected]

Body Form... great come back!
If you haven't heard or seen as of yet. A week ago, Richard Neill made a rant on Body Form Maxi pad's Facebook Page! Check it out... accusing the feminine product supplier of lying in regards to "that time of the month".
Well, yesterday we all had a good chuckle when we first watched the company's response! ...their fictional CEO went on YouTube and apologized for their lies over the years, for tricking all of us guys! haha! Watch the video and see for yourself!
I think we're ready for our MVI! Appointment booked for Monday at 8am... @1994CelicaGT #PimpPrestonsRide
