What a waste of a pretty face, what a waste that face, that face. Repeated and mixed around and played back way too loud. This is one hell of an intro. Just the two of them repeating and mixing up the words as distorted percussion and filthy synths decide amongst themselves if they should even get started or just let the girls keep chanting. Will you want me when I’m old and dead? And the deepest, fattest groove pounds itself into existence as the chants come back again being accompanied eventually by planet sized guitars living in threat of a supernova. Just so big, so loud and so essential.
And we back into the grooves as the verse finally kicks in. These beats are way too funky to keep the body still. This is the shit that gets inside your soul and just forces every part of you to move. Supernova guitars forcing your eyes shut and making stupid faces as you try to accept the sheer size of this groove. All the clever ones are lonely, funny ones are dead. Wasn’t ready for the personal attacks but keep the groove going. I just wanna move my body and feel the layers of sound piling on, vying for control. No. Direction. It wants to pull you somewhere. Just maybe even out of your shell just so you can dance for a bit and let the music take over. And closing with a final cry of when I’m old and dead before silence comes back again. For a moment you got to dance without inhibition but are you gonna be funny when you’re old and dead? What a waste it all was.
