U Y O for Grace???

Understanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

Grace’s empathy dial is stuck on 11. But she’s also quite naive. Bull’s a tough one to crack. She’s good at picking up on his overall mood, but she’s not always good at getting through to him. Bull’s dual life of qun-and-not-qun means he’s constantly treading between being the Iron Bull, being Hissrad, and being just Bull. Grace only sees Bull. She doesn’t like and understand the Hissrad part of Bull. 

Does that make sense? God. It’s been so long. I’m kind of just sitting here making facial expressions and hand gestures and trying to translate them into words.

Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

Grace is SAD when Bull has to go on a mission without her. BUT she has her half of the dragon tooth necklace. She holds that and trusts that he’ll come back. She’ll write him boring letters about what she’s been up to, but not like, work or friend stuff. Things like the types of cheeses she’s eaten and what the cats are up to. (Bull loves that shit. He’ll read a five page letter about how one the cats caught a mouse and then he’ll read it again and ask follow up questions.)

On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Grace in love is the perfect summer’s day. The sun is bright and warm, the breeze is light and refreshing, birds sing, creeks babble, the pollen is low. She brighten a dull room and she’ll name a cat after you.

@ltleflrt: I'm in agreement with most of this, yeah. Although for the mako, I had to turn on the "old" controls, because the "improvements" give me motion sickness. And I'd love it if you put your tumblr stuff on ao3!! :D

Interesting. I appreciated the new controls, but being on PS4 probably helped with that. And yes, I'm starting to collect that stuff up and format it for AO3. Who knows, maybe I'll add something new. Anyway, stay tuned for some follow-up questions about what to port and preferred formats.

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes? Vii, she smol she steals everyones clothes. Also she hasnt had time to buy clothes, doc has too many, he wont need them

16: Which one gives the other their jacket? Its 50/50. Vii likes clothes/coats bigger then her size, so if doc isnt prepared for some chilly weather she’s got a big coat to help.

I think it's still important to acknowledge that some people didn't like the game for whatever reasons and that doesn't make them "fake" Mass Effect fans or bandwagoners, which is the message at the heart of a lot of backlash I've been seeing on my dash lately.

Yes it’s important, I agree. That’s exactly what I said in my post. That everyone has their own answer to the question about the reasons why we dislike(d) some parts of MEA. It’s just interesting to understand why we dislike it and if we are influenced or not. Because some of us really were influenced. 

And tbh “fake fans” is a bullshit concept to me. You can be a fan of something and still be critical (I keep repeating that...............).  Really, the post is not saying that disliking the game or being critical about the game is bad. I would NEVER say that.

19 Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?

Bull tells the Chargers first, but they already know. Bull is oddly hurt. He thought he’d covered his tracks well enough. Krem burst’s Bull’s bubble by telling him he gets all moony eyed when Grace wanders past.

Grace sends a letter to her brother around the same time, but the post in Thedas is worse than the post during a global pandemic, so it takes months before he finds out.

20 What do their family/friends think of their relationship?

The Chargers love Grace. They’re happy for Bull. They take the piss out of him for being all soft and gooey and in love.

Sebastian is not happy that Grace has fallen for a qunari. But once he actually meets Bull, he comes around. Takes a while.

19 Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?

Cats and Theron only get together on Odessen, so the crew find out as each one of them joins the Alliance.

Cats tells Mom, Dad, and Bowdaar first, but they already know. They can’t help but know. They’ve walked into the ship and had to walk out again lest they see more of Theron than they want.

She forgets to tell Guss, so when Guss re-joins the crew, he pulls a blaster on Theron one morning as Theron’s sneaking out of the ship. Only family is allowed on board. Theron’s not family. Cats is half asleep and very naked when she comes out of her cabin and tells Guss not to shoot Theron.

Theron comes with Cats when she follows the trail that Corso and Risha leave. Risha figures it out immediately. Corso only figures it out when Cats slaps Theron’s ass on the way out of the Cantina.

Theron also comes with Cats when she follows the lead on Akaavi. “You remember Theron from the swamp, right?” Cats says. “How could I forget,” Akaavi deadpans.

Cats is the one to tell Satele. Happens on her camping trip. Jace learns on Iokath when he sees that Cats and Theron are sharing a room.

 20 What do their family/friends think of their relationship?

Mom/Dad: Very excited. Very happy for both of them. Concerned about their sex life, but they seem happy.

Bowdaar: “If you’re happy, I’m happy. Even if he is a spy.”

Guss: He’s okay, Guss supposes. He leaves nice shampoo in the fresher. Guss uses it.

Corso: He’s happy for her. He knows he and Cats would never have worked out, so he’s happy she’s found someone who makes her so happy.

Risha: “His personality is as deep as a puddle but at least he’s pretty.”

Akaavi: “He’s not the worst.”

Satele: She’s happy for Theron, but honestly, that woman? Really?

Jace: “I’m going to knit so many baby booties…”

Jonas: “If I knew she was your wife I wouldn’t have flirted with her… okay I still would have flirted with her, but you could have told me!”

2. At the start, Cats and Theron’s sex is pretty bad. Like, actually terrible. Their first time was in the mud (Yavin 4). Their second time was five years later, in a cantina booth (Odessen). Cats is a sexy whirlwind and Theron can’t keep up.

Takes Theron a while to adjust, and to slow Cats down enough for them to last more than five minutes. Once he gets them to a point where they can have sex without sustaining an injury, the quality and duration improves.
