At nineteen years old, Evan Buckley leaves home with a thousand bucks, a duffle filled with clothes and a Jeep registered in his sister’s name. Not wanting to see the looks of disappointment on his parent's faces, he doesn’t tell them he has left until he’s nearly over the border into Ohio.
Over a series of phone calls with his parents, from when he leaves home to more recently at the 118, Buck learns a lot about himself, the missing piece of his family's puzzle, how to push their buttons and how to find some common ground.
