I always wonder if she would have made the same choices I made if she had the chance, but if I hadn’t lost her I might never have known my own genetic fate. I miss her even worse than I miss my old boobs (and that’s a lot, because they were INCREDIBLE). But I did what I did and I’m here, cancer-free, when my mom already had been diagnosed at my age... and miss me with all that “lost her battle” bullshit.
