Hi friends, I hope you're all doing as well as you can be, keeping healthy and safe and fighting the good fight! I feel a little weird to be posting with all thats going on right now, but I wanted to share some Pride Month recommendations with you. I'm taking part in @bookishly.dreaming LGBTQIA+ challenge #BookishlyDreaming and the first theme is F/F, so I am here with some F/F recommendations. One I am very much looking forward to reading is Beyond The Ruby Veil, out October 13th. This is a dark fantasy book with a world based around blood magic and violence that includes descriptions of blood, stabbing, needles, wounds, and murder. There are content warnings on the authors website so just be aware going into that one! "Emanuela doesn't care that she and her groom are both gay, because she doesn't want a love match. She wants power, and through Ale, she'll have it all." I'm sold. Another book of these I truly loved was Girls Made of Snow and Glass - it was soft f/f romance, for lack of better words, and a Snow White retelling. I loved it very much. I will admit I'm very much an audiobook reader (listener?) so I don't own as many physical f/f books as I would like. I couldn't actually think of ANY f/f books by Black authors off the top of my head and I feel guilty about that. So todays Q: What's a F/F book you would recommend? Double brownie points if its by a Black author! I'm listening and adding to my TBR - I just made a shelf on Goodreads for LBGTQ+ and then further shelved by sexuality pairing(s) so I will have a reference easily on hand.
