Hey there folks, the Discord server I mentioned that I'm modding that's supposed to be a 18+ Sonic literary server is now online!

We are still in the testing phase but we're planning if everything goes well we'll be planning on Jackbox game nights, a writing sprint bot to challenge a friend, and even possibly a book club (we're debating if it might be real books combined with fanfiction? idk, we'll see.)

Please be 18+ however! It's not an RP server but we still want to open up discussions of mature subject matter and etc.

Okay so, I don't usually make these kinds of posts, but it bears saying. Bigoted people who say "they shouldn't be teaching kids this sexuality stuff" about queerness are the biggest hypocrites ever. Now let me take you back to 2010, when I was 4 years old.

I grew up in rural Canada and we have a lot of wildlife. One of the activities the other girls loved doing was finding frogs and toads and kissing them hoping that one of them would turn into a prince. And I innocently asked them, "what if the frog turns into a princess?" And the other girls laughed and told me I was weird for even considering such an idea.

And look, I'm as straight as my parking and that is to say not at all. I was never exposed to queer relationships, my parents are as straight as an arrow and I grew up watching Pokémon XYZ, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Lego Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu, Disney's Beverly Hills Chihuahuas (all 3 of them), The Aristocats, 101 Dalmatians, many Disney Princess films, DreamWorks' How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek, Puss in Boots, and we'll be here all day if I listed all of them. Let it be known that the common denominator in all of these franchises is the fact the main couple (or couples in some cases) is a STRAIGHT couple.

The point is: children are already exposed to heteronormativity from a very young age, if you're going to say "we shouldn't expose children to that sexuality stuff" well congratu-fucking-lations, you already failed at that because news flash, just because heterosexuality is the status quo, it is still a sexuality. It's just more widely accepted than being queer because of religion, laws and bigotry.
