But Harry doesn’t feel friendly towards Draco. He barely catches himself before reaching out to touch Malfoy’s hand; he constantly second-guesses whether he’s sitting too close, staring too much. He is, he knows. But Malfoy’s mouth moves in these horrible, wonderful ways when he talks, when he smiles. Malfoy has that same smirk that used to make Harry’s hands curl into fists. Now Harry doesn’t really feel less violent; he wants to bite Malfoy’s lips, his neck, his fingers. He wants to bruise him, scratch him, maybe smack him—but he wants Malfoy to like it.
He wants Malfoy to ask for it.

Honestly almost none of my favorite fics ever get finished, and I’ll usually hate anything I write as soon as I post it, but I’m fond of Cookies and Cats because it caters to all my hopeless romantic tendencies and features a badly named-pet ;)

Not much TV watching either. The TV in the living room has been occupied in the evenings by the kids for video games. They swing between Bloodborne and Animal Crossing.

what are you doing for self-care?
Upping my physical activity. I fell down again a few days ago for the first time in months. For all the walking I’ve done, my core and leg strength and balance is still toast, and I’d like to be steadier on my feet. Last night on YouTube, I found a workout I had on DVD about 20 years ago. I still have the hand weights and step box, so I threw it on this morning and tried it. I could do maybe a quarter of it, really just the arms and shoulders. I did what I could and took my best shot at the rest, and I’ll keep trying.
