Prime was pulled from his thoughts to look down then see a frightened and concerned youngling beside him. It then he noticed the slight twinge of pain in his servos only to see a damaged datapad in them, with some of the broken shards of the screen wedged within his digits which caused them to bleed. It was Arki’s former medical report after that incident. He forgot he had been reading over it and felt rage from the child’s damage then-

He looked down at Arki slightly ashamed what he had done.

“Ah……Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you Arki…..”

When his optics caught sight of the broken datapad and droplets of blue welling up between the seams, he flinched back in horror. | “Oh! Tati y-you’re bleeding! What happened?! Are you okay?!”

Knock Out unwrapped the gift carefully, pulling the sheer ribbon loose and setting it aside.  Somewhere along the way in his travels in the past he seemed to have lost his fawning, programming-derived idolization of the Dark Prime.  Indeed, he examined the energon treat in his hand cautiously, sniffing it and then testing it with the edge of his tongue.

After a moment he popped it into his mouth. Optics half-closed, he made a sound of contentment as he rolled the sweet from one cheek to the other.  He might not fully trust the Dark Prime, but he made a good energon treat.
