Sometimes a family is two ex-soldiers from opposite sides of an intergalactic war, their mixed-species daughter, an asshole ex-prince with a tv head, his angelic and pacifist son, a former POW trans woman, a talking seal, and two reporter fish boyfriends.
It's tough for children to accept that their creators aren't gods, just regular people. And regular people will always disappoint you.

I have been reading a bit of Saga, finished volume 4, and I love Prince IV. so take this.
