Disember Day 10: “Andreas Deja”

Andreas Deja is a master animator and one of my greatest inspirations in the animation industry, many of his works include characters like Hercules, Scar, King Triton, Jafar and almost the entire cast of Who Framed Roger Rabbit! One of his works that I discovered was being supervising animator of Mickey Mouse in the Prince and the Pauper~ 👑

I chose the Prince and the Pauper because this short was where my love for Mickey started. I was a little kid constantly rewinding the tape to watch it over and over again and I felt that it was the perfect time to honour this short in today’s prompt! 😊

Happy Mother’s Day! ✨💖

Aero has always been a motherly person to Mickey, and since there are two Mickeys in the Prince and the Pauper, it’s double the fun and a growing found family! In my AU, my self insert, Aero gets a position as a maid at the castle after the Prince(who is named Theo in this story!) is crowned king and takes Mickey into his royal court. Mickey and Theo are now brothers and Aero becomes their adopted mother, she’s completely devoted to them and helps keep them out of trouble when Horace needs a break haha! 😜 And having a mother figure means Mickey and Theo can have someone to go to for games, comfort and wisdom, they adore her as much as she adores them! 🩵💜❤️

I’ve been developing a few ideas for my AU/story with the help of @goldenheartart_ and it’s honestly a huge comfort fuel story. The Prince and the Pauper means so much to me and getting to expand the little universe it is set in with myself included is so much fun and it makes me feel happy! ✨
