Richard: I expected more from you Benjamin. Leaving the city? Without telling anyone?

Elissa: Richard, I told him that it was alright. He has no engagements until the Solstice. Taking a weekend off isn’t going to hurt him.

Ben: Father, I just wanted to get out of Nimben. It’s too…

Richard: It’s too what? Loud? Overcrowded? This is your home. Your only home. Chester is…

Elissa: A place where Ben can be at home.

Richard: He’s never lived there. The only one of our children that is familiar with Chester is Anastasia.

Elissa: So Anastasia is the only one that can use Chester? No. Benjamin?

Ben: Yes Mama?

Elissa: Why don’t you head back upstairs? Your father and I need to have a talk.

The Princes Age Up!

Earlier today, Nimben Palace shared the first official portraits of the King and Queen’s youngest two sons, Prince Robert and Prince Benjamin.

The portraits were reportedly taken last week at Nimben Palace in the throne room. The princes were photographed in front of their parents thrones, with Prince Robert in front of the throne of his father and Prince Benjamin in front of his mother’s.

Now that the Prince’s are ever closer to their majority, they are able to join their parents and siblings in overseas events and partake in charity visits, although they apparently wish to primarily focus on school rather than joining the royal workforce.

Chester Hall, Early Afternoon

Luca: What’s wrong?

Ben: I just got off the phone with my father. He knows that I’m here.

Luca: I can’t say that I’m surprised, he is the King after all. He technically owns it.

Ben: Yeah, but he was ‘displeased’ that I was abandoning my royal duties for a weekend away. It’s almost as if I didn’t tell my mother that I wanted to come out here for a weekend, she approved and moved my one singular engagement around until after the wedding.

Luca: Yeah, your mom is cool. Your dad…

Ben: Ssh. The wall’s have ears.

Luca: And security cameras?

Ben: Only on the outside. But on the walls have ears, regardless of where you are.

Luca: Can we go someplace where the walls don’t have ears?

Ben: Yes. Yes, we can.

Chester Hall, Late Afternoon

????: What are we going to do if your dad spots us out here? Doesn’t he own the place?

????: Yeah, but he hasn’t been out here in ages. He wouldn’t even think I’m here. Besides, it’s entirely private property, no paps will see us.

????: Ben…

Ben: Trust me, if there was something for me to worry about, I wouldn’t have brought you out here.

????: You’re very confident Nimben.

Ben: Eh. I’m certainly not as suave as you, Kafer.

????: Just kiss me already.

Ben: Luca, your wish is my command.

King and Queen Share Christmas Card

Of course, it wouldn’t be the holidays without the King and Queen’s official Christmas card.

This year however, the monarchs went against tradition and instead split the Christmas card up, with one photograph featuring the King and Queen, another featuring Prince Michael, Princess Sophie and Prince Charles, a second featuring the twin princes, Prince Robert and Prince Benjamin and finally, a solo picture of the couple’s youngest daughter, Princess Alice, who recently celebrated her 6th birthday.

In previous years, the King and Queen have had a group photograph featuring all of their children, but that appeared to not be in the cards for this year. Also not featured in the cards was Crown Princess Anastasia, the Duchess of Bilchester and Clois, who released her own Christmas card with her husband, Hisirdoux, the Duke of Clois, earlier this week. According to a source within the palace, the choice was done intentionally. “The Royal Family is so busy with work and school, that getting them all together for one photograph only to go back home didn’t make much sense. It was simply a matter of getting whoever was available to take the photograph at that time.”

The Royal Family is expected to make their traditional walk to Christmas Service at the Chapel Royale tomorrow morning with the King’s sisters, brother-in-law nieces and nephews in attendance.

Nimben Palace, 3pm

Richard: Where are they? What’s taking them so long?

Elissa: Richard. There’s a snowstorm going on right now, practically a blizzard. Can you blame them for not wanting to traverse the roads right now?

Richard: Excuses. Their drivers know that…

Elissa: That’s it is perfectly unsafe to drive on icy roads nearly 15 miles, especially with the heir to the throne in the car.

Richard: Pssh. The roads aren’t that icy.

*Phone Chime*

Elissa: And that’ll be her.

Ana: [Roads icy and visibility low. Won’t be able to make it.]

Richard: What did she say?

Elissa: The road is icy and the drivers have low visibility. They aren’t coming.

Richard: Tell her…

Elissa: To stay warm? Stay safe? This is our daughter and son-in-law, Richard. Can’t you…

Robert: Mama, Papa!

Ben: No fair! I wanted to tell!

Richard: What?

Robert: You know Ivan and Luka from school?

Elissa: Kafer?

Robert: Yeah! Well…

Ben: They’re having a birthday party next weekend and they invited us.

Robert: Can we go? Pleaseeeee? They invited Alice too, their brother Nath is in her class.

Ben: Can we Mama?

Elissa: When’s the party? I’ll check my schedule to make sure that I can take you.

Robert: Right after the New Year.

Ben: The 5th.

Robert: At 1pm.

Elissa: Hmm. Well, I have an evening engagement that day, but I don’t think that should inhibit you from going.

Ben: Yay! Thank you Mama.

Robert: Thank you Mama.

The Bridal Party Arrives!

Just ahead of the car carrying the bride and her father came the Maid of Honor, joined by the bridesmaids and pageboys for the wedding. The couple primarily chose younger members of the Crown Princess’s family, with Hisirdoux’s goddaughter, Gabriella, filling one of the roles of the bridal party.

Other members of the bridal party include the Princes Robert and Benjamin, Princess Alice, Lady Beatrice and Lord Anton Asbury and Lady Alexandra Carlisle.

Princess Sophie, meanwhile, filled the role of her sister’s maid of honor, dazzling the crowds in her gorgeous green dress. The sisters are reportedly very close to each other and text often. Sophie has reportedly even said that ‘Ana always said that I’d be the Maid of Honor when she got married, so she has no choice but to be the Maid of Honor when I get married!’

Speaking of the Crown Princess, she and her father will be arriving any minute, don’t go anywhere!

Nimben Palace, ~10pm

Elissa: And where are you going?

Richard: Out.

Elissa: Out where? It’s 10pm, what is so important that you need to leave right now?

Richard: I need some air.

Elissa: That’s the shittiest excuse I think I’ve ever heard. Where are you going?

Richard: That is none of your business.

Elissa: Why? Whose business is it then?

Richard: Mine and mine alone.

Elissa: What is so secret that you can’t even tell your wife, the mother of your freaking children, where you’re going?

Richard: It. Is. None. Of. Your. Business.

Ben: Mama? Papa?

Richard: Benjamin, go back to sleep.

Ben: Couldn’t sleep. I had a nightmare.

Richard: It’ll pass. Back to bed with you.

Elissa: Richard. Leave him alone.

Richard: Fine.

Elissa: What’s wrong Ben?

Ben: I had a bad dream.

Elissa: About what?

Ben: I dunno. But it was really scary and Papa got hurt bad.

Elissa: It’s alright. We’re fine. Papa and I are both fine.

Ben: Promise?

Elissa: I promise.
