Emma’s phone had been attached to her ear since the second she’d hung up with Persephone, as she’d alternated between frantically calling her fiance and her cousin. Stupid boys and their stupid bachelor parties, Emma had cursed as call after call had gone unanswered, though she knew it was partially her own fault for not taking more interest in the subject in the first place. When Oliver had finally answered, groggy and clearly hungover, she was sure that he’d hardly even noticed how panicked she’d sounded -- he’d just told her where the lot of them were staying, and Emma had sharply turned her car down the road that would lead her to Belle’s harbor.
Emma wasn’t even sure that she’d fully stopped the car, but she was already flinging the gear into park, practically tumbling out of the driver’s seat to try to get inside and find Will. The words ‘Blake’ and ‘hurt’ and ‘bring the prince’ were rushing through her head, making her heart race and her head pound, and dammit, why was today the one time that Persephone chose to be inarticulate and not give Emma way more details than she could ever need about something? The sight of Oliver at the door waiting for her was a welcome one, and she didn’t even say hello or offer him a welcome hug, just followed his finger towards the room where he said Will was, and hopped over dumb boys passed out on the floor to get there as fast as she could.
Will looked a mess, a totally hungover mess, but Emma hardly took in the sight of him before she was crouched at his side, shaking him away. “Will,” she hissed urgently, not wanting to be too loud and wake up the people in the room she’d just left. “Will, Will, you need to wake up, Blake’s hurt, he’s in the hospital!” Emma’s voice rose in pitch with each word; she didn’t know exactly what had happened, but she knew that if it was bad, Will would never forgive himself for not being there, and fast. “Come on, oh my Beast!” Emma insisted, yanking the covers off of him and waiting for the stupid drunken haze to clear so that he’d realize what she’d said.
