Long Time No See || Philip & Belle

"Ahh." Belle sighed and stretched from her spot behind the counter in the library. She'd been slipping tomes into their proper places all morning, and she was getting a little sleepy. So, she'd taken a break...which had turned into a nap. She was just about to head back to her drudgery when the door opened and she was greeted by a pleasant ding. She looked up to see a surprisingly familiar face. "Hey!" she called. "Phili-" Oh. He probably doesn't remember me. she realized. "I mean, hi. Can I help you with anything?"

Nora tugged on the leash in an attempt to spur her half asleep owner into moving faster. This was her latest trick. Waking Brandon up at some ungodly, half dark hour of the morning to take her for a walk in the park. At first he'd tried to resist it but between Nora's yapping and Karen grumbling at him to shut the dog up it was much easier just to get up and get it over with. The morning wasn't unusually cold but looking at Brandon bundled up in a thick coat and a heavy wollen scarf you would have thought otherwise. The blue gem studded leash was wrapped tightly around his left hand and shoved deep into his pocket as he was dragged along in the direction of the park. 

A quick stop at Granny's added a steaming hot cup of coffee to Brandon's armour against the morning chill but didn't serve to please the spoiled and impatient dog that danced around his feet almost tripping him on more than one occasion. The park was pretty empty this early in the morning. A few joggers and a couple of other dog walkers were all that he could spot when he was eventually pulled through it's gates. That and the remnants of sleep that still hung heavily in his brain lowered his guard on how he chose his words. "Oz's name Nora, you'd think I never took you out." He sighed to himself in that strange Ozian accent he spent so much energy trying to suppress these days.
