The Crown of Princess Blanche
The Bohemian Crown is famously the oldest surviving royal crown to have been in England, dating back between 1370 to 1380. It most likely belonged to Queen Anne of Bohemia, wife of English king Richard II, before being given to the House of Wittelsbach as part of the dowry of Blanche of England, daughter of King Henry IV. It has been described as ‘one of the finest achievements of the Gothic goldsmith’ and includes diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, enamel and pearls.
The crown of Princess Blanche is the oldest surviving royal crown from England and is estimated to have been made around 1370. It is also known as the Palatine Crown or the Bohemian Crown.

Crown of an English queen c. 1380
The oldest surviving crown of England is thought to have belonged to King Edward III or Anne of Bohemia, the wife of King Richard II. Taken to the Holy Roman Empire in 1402, as part of Princess Blanche's dowry, the crown was only transferred to Munich in 1782, along with the other jewels belonging to the Palatine branch of the Wittelsbach family.
