I, as of right now, don't like this Carl's Wife thing. I'm sure we will come to understand what happened and it will be resolved but it's just...I don't know. Carl gets his consent taken from him in most ways, now he's married and seems equally surprised as everyone else.
When it was first brought up I assumed it had to do with Shi Maria being tied to him. Or the circus master in his head.
