There’s something so sacred about the sound of a heartbeat.

It’s been years since Clarke slept so soundly. And it’s the first time she’s ever done so while curled up naked and entangled with the most precious person in the world. Clarke’s eyes have not yet opened, but her lips curve and she burrows deeper into the warmth, Lexa’s body soft and sticky against hers, the blankets still damp and the rug soaked beneath them. Lexa’s heart is steady and sure beneath her ear, and the sound of it fills Clarke up and reverberates in every part of her.

She can feel the moment awareness settles over Lexa. Her head slowly rises and falls with Lexa’s chest as Lexa takes a deep breath, and Clarke sighs happily, her cheek pressed to Lexa’s heart.

“Good morning,” Lexa hums, voice thick with sleep.

Clarke turns her head slightly to press her lips to Lexa’s heart. “Good morning.”

Strike at Witching Hour

Clarke is a witchunter, traveling to the town of Polis after its distressed Mayor pleads with her to save the habitants from a dark witch who threatens them in the dark of the night. Enter his daughter, eighteen year old Lexa, who's only allowed to visit the church and lives under the watchful eye of her father and the pastor.

This is a mainly just a collection of little ficlets (and sometimes drawing) I've been creating for this AU. I won't be uploading full chapter and the ficlets might not be in order - just a heads up!

Clarke gets a call that her wife is in the hospital, only problem? (besides the fact that her wife is in the hospital) Clarke doesn’t have a wife. In fact - clarke isn’t really one for the whole institution of marriage. In fact, love was probably invented by hallmark to sell more greetcards. So. You know. They’re both emotionally constipated. On the two-year anniversary of Lexa's death

So, yesterday was the anniversary. Two years since we watched Lexa bleed out on the bed where she and Clarke had just made love for the first and last time.

And somehow, I totally missed it.

At first I was really pissed at myself, and really upset. But later I realized that I wasn't as mad at myself as I thought I should be. Why?

Because Lexa is still alive.

We have kept her that way. Through this fandom's outpouring of fic, gifsets, art, videos, and love, we have kept her alive. I may have watched her get shot and bleed out in Clarke's arms, but in a way she's more alive than ever before. That's one of the reasons - a big reason - I wrote Young Gods: as an attempt to write Lexa back from the dead, and give her the life we all know she deserved.

Every attempt to kill her on the show - seeing her die again to save Clarke in the City of Light, every time they talk about her legacy - has only made her stronger, because we respond with anger but also pure love. Love for our Heda, and our ship, and also each other.

Never stop, Clexakru. Never let that end. Because as long as Lexa is alive in our hearts, as long as we carry her Flame in our minds and her Spirit in our spirits, she can never truly die.
