So remember how I tried to do a cooking stream back in April themed around Perfuma??
I was having a lot of cognitive issues at the time due to The Mental Illness and my difficulty with thinking clearly hasn't really resolved enough for me to feel like I can stream again for the next bit so!! I decided to just make up the flower-shaped lemon tarts off-stream since the pie dough I'd bought to make them with was expiring
If you wanna make these yourself, I used Pillsbury pie crust dough, Dr. Oetker Shirriff lemon pie filling mix, a 3½-inch flower-shaped cookie cutter from Bulk Barn (the cookie cutter can be 3 inches though), and Betty Crocker mini muffin pans from Dollarama (and it has to be the mini ones bc the regular ones will be too big) -- however you are welcome to change up the kind of crust (e.g. made from scratch, made from a mix) and/or the flavour of the filling (e.g. blueberry, chocolate), and some things I'd do differently next time are not baking the crusts as long as I did (on this first try of making tarts, I baked them for 10 minutes at 450°F) as well as either poking holes in the crust with a fork before baking or maybe using DIY pie weights (aka tin foil shaped into cups then filled with uncooked rice to weigh down the bottom/middle of the crust)
I've never made flower-shaped tarts before and I'm really only used to baking pies from frozen so it was a new experience for me and I can't actually fault myself for burning the crusts (plus, I'm glad they only turned out to be *this* burnt), and people in a Discord server are hyping me up and telling me these look delicious!!!
Hopefully I can soon get to doing the rest of the princesses as themed cooking streams, with Mermista being next on the list!! The plan for Mermista is blue Jello cups with fish candies, mermaid cupcakes (likely pre-baked either at my mom's or in the middle of the night, as it is summer here in SWO), and Rice Krispy treats decorated with Goldfish and blue-coloured white chocolate
