So last night I slept with my copy of The Goldfinch against my chest and it felt weird at first but then I remembered the Theo also slept with The Goldfinch held to his chest at one point and I never felt more connected to him at that point.

So I was up until 3 AM last night finishing The Goldfinch and today seems almost unreal. It's like I've lost a friend and I think about how I can reread it but it probably won't be the same.

Trust me never fear! rereading it is just as good -- you find more and more you missed and you're like "woah--- someone took 10 freaking years to write this"

I can't stop listening to the movie version of It's all over now Baby Blue. When it played in the theater my heart grew ten sizes and it perfectly captioned how it feels like to leave something behind you can't live without. It leaves a lump in my throat because it encapsulated the love and anguish of thay scene perfectly. It sounds perfectly doomed.

So in the scenario Klaus is in the hospital and he has a breathing tube so he can't speak. Diego comes in and he's the only one that can understand Klaus's gestures so Klaus signs to him "Tell him I love him" everyone else is confused but Diego gets teary eyes and just says "I promise."
