Figured it was about time I properly posted about this guy, hm? :)
For those who don't recognize him, this is Rowan, my Raven variant! He's one of the main characters of my UTMV-inspired AU, the printerjamau, which, if you follow me, you've likely seen mentioned on my account in the past.
I've had Rowan's updated reference sitting in my files for almost a year at this point, and I decided I wanted to go ahead and get it posted before I forgot about it completely.
I was originally saving his reference to be posted alongside the other printerjamau main characters’ references, but theirs aren't finished yet, so I'm going to post them individually as I finish them, and then do one big post about the AU as a whole when they're all done.
First up is Rowan.
Below the cut is a bunch of miscellaneous info I've written about him. I'd be very grateful if you took the time to read it, as this AU is very important to me and I'm very excited to share it with a wider audience!!!
(I promise the rest of these posts will be shorter, I just needed to give an explanation for my own sanity)
The Important Stuff:
📘 Rowan's preferred pronouns are he/they, but he'll accept any!!
🩸 His font is Black Raven
📷 He is completely unable to use magic, attempting to do so will put extreme strain on his body and could lead to severe injury or even death. (this is something he is incredibly insecure about)
📘 The first little heart shown is what Rowan's SOUL looks like!
● Rowan's soul is made up of a piece of Geno's soul, combined with Reaper's magic, Life's magic, and stellar remnants. The piece of Geno's soul was under Reaper's care for many years before anything was done with it.
🩸 The pride flags shown are the agender and gay/vincian flags
📷 Rowan's Gaster Blaster, Bunny, can change back and forth from a blaster, a scythe, and a shawl. Rowan most often keeps her in her shawl form.
● Bunny was a gift from Reaper, given to Rowan after it was discovered that Rowan is unable to use his magic.
📘 His three main interests are animals (specifically bunnies), poetry, and photography
🩸 Idk where else to put this, but he's 4'2 and 19 years old as of the events of the main story
📷 Prim is his half-sibling/adopted sibling. It's complicated. His best friend is Lu, which is less complicated.
📘 He tends to keep to himself most of the time, he's very socially awkward. He'll do anything he can to keep those he's managed to befriend around. He has verryyy bad people-pleasing tendencies.
I think this is the majority of what I wanted to share,,, he of course has Lore, but I do want to keep some things a secret until the big lore post.

Remember the first time I drew them hanging out? It’s been over half a year since I got that ask, and I felt like re-sketching this scene with the new knowledge I’ve gained of their personalities since then :D (and also better distinction of their ages and height cuz lol)

This is the main group that forms the core of the story! Whilst Prim is obviously the focus, they aren't the only main character. Everyone gets a chance in the spotlight!
They aren't really a proper friend group until the end of the story, but this highlights their dynamics following that. They love each other a lot okay.
Also, first time showing Cinereal off to Tumblr. Been waiting to finish his reference before posting him here, but I've been so incredibly burnt out on drawing that it's taking longer than I wanted </3 So... you get a sneak peek of him. My son daughter whom I love dearly
