In Descendants, Ben, Audrey & Mal are the only characters to ever show accountability and apologise for their actions.

In D1, when Audrey comes up to Mal and bows, it feels very much like I was wrong about you. In D3, she gives a full apology for her actions without hiding it.

In D2, Ben apologises to Mal when she runs off to the Isle. In D3, he apologises to Audrey.

Mal shows remorse for her actions of spelling Ben, knowing she might lose him by making the anti-love potion. She writes a whole apology to Audrey in her diary. She tries to make things right with Jane and she apologises to Audrey at the end of D3 and to her friends for lying.

Mal Stan’s after mal homewrecked Audrey’s relationship with Ben : well Audrey didn’t have feelings for Ben so it’s ok

Mal Stan’s after uma did the exact same thing to Mal that Mal did to Audrey in descendants : omg poor Mal ! Ohh poor baby deserved so much better 😭😭🥺

Another Audrey defense rant

Ok, so I see people calling Audrey power hungry because she wanted to become the Queen of Auradon. Well, yes but you all missed the point of Audrey's entire character arc.

Do you think having the sceptre it would have been difficult for her to become Queen? She could have forced Ben to become her husband and make her Queen. I'm sure the sceptre could enchant him to do exactly what she wants. But she *offers* him a proposition to make her Queen so they can rule side by side. She has unlimited power - she can literally do anything - there are no guards there, no nothing to stop her. Yeah Mal might be able to defeat Audrey, you could argue but Audrey doesn't even consider using a love spell/love potion/enchanting Ben.

She could literally make her family proud by forcing Ben to become her King. She doesn't even take away his right to choose Mal.
