Well that was an awesome way to start the day!

So I take the train into the city everyday for work, and usually it’s a fairly uneventful trip. But TODAY something AMAZING happened. I was sitting in the window seat with my backpack on the seat next to me, with all my buttons facing out into the aisle, and this old white woman stops next me and asks if I minded her taking the other open seat. I told her that she could, of course. But then the old lady takes a good long look at all my buttons, which are a variety of Ace Pride and LGBT Pride buttons, Feminist activism buttons, Anti-Trump buttons, Pro-Diversity buttons, and just generally very pro-liberal buttons. So she looks at them and then looks at me, and I just see/feel her beady-eyed look of disapproval, but all I do is smile politely at her and gesture for her take the empty seat, just like the proper young lady my parents raised me to be...and she just HARRUMPHS and moves on to find another seat. I count that as a win, because I was polite and gracious while she was being a rude old lady who should really now better by now.

Making patches for my jacket, because it doesn't have enough.  Tonight I've made, Smash Patriarchy, My Body My Rules, Proud to be what Tories hate, and a left wing for my left arm. I also got a voting form today, fitting. One step closer to kicking Cameron out.

okay lemme tell you a thing

tony abbott is a douche, right? we all know that

but what people fail to tell people that don't live in australia is that the government is run differently here than in america.

tony abbott isn't in charge of everything

the liberal party is the group of people that organise things, and tony abbott is the face of that party, he basically does shit all for the government and country, and lives in the lodge doing nothing and shaking hands

the government over here cannot even make decisions without the explicit approval of the queens representative, the governor general.

so basically, i don't care what the hell tony abbott says, because I believe that the liberal party in itself does the best for the country, and he has basically no power whatsoever

and so, if i hear you slandering over tony abbott being prime minister over kevin fucking rudd, i will tell you that you should stop being an idiot, and see that the labor party would have been worse for the country because of their instability within their own party.
