"It's just like the handmaid's tale" Ok let's analyze it! The handmaid's tale is more closely related to surrogacy, which many pro lifers are against! Many believe that the child deserves to be with their biological parents and shouldn't be stripped of that medically determined bond. Oh and isn't one point of handmaid's tale that once the handmaid's have the children, most don't want to give them up? I understand that's a smaller factor in the large part of the show/book, but it's one of many that can be debunked. Pro-Life laws aren't going to force a woman into surrogacy through a perverted ritualistic ceremony. And Trump has expressed many times that he believes in exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother, so no. We won't be turning into handmaid's within the next 4 years.
