people is talking shit about lydia because all she does is cry and “whine” about stiles and apparently all her storyline is purely for stiles and has zero own development.

lydia martin is one of the most badass, amazing and independant female characters i have ever seen, trough the years she has become strong and learned about herself, she was before a girl who was afraid of being seen as smart and clever but now she is helping other and herself with her knowledge, she was selfish but know she is willing to risk anything for her loved ones, she was afraid and scared of being a banshee, but she learned to control and use her power for good and that way she started to kick asses left and right! she is not only smart af but a girl who is allowed to cry over the lost of one of the most important person in her life, stiles, the guys who stood by her side all these years and helped her everytime she needed something, the guy who told her that she was smart and she had to believe and herself, the guy that saved her life and she trust more than anything in the world, her emotional tether, THAT GUY IS GONE, AND SHE HAS ONLY PIECES OF HIM IN HER MEMORY, LITERALLY, A PIECE OF HER SOUL WAS RIPPED OFF JUST IN FRONT OF HER, SO YES, SHE IS CRYING AND SHE IS SUFFERING EVERY MINUTE THAT SHE IS WITHOUT STILES, NOT BECAUSE A FEMALE CHARACTER CRIES AND LET HER FEELINGS SHOW MEANS SHE IS WEAK, IF IT MEANS SOMETHING IN LYDIA IS DEVELOPMENT, BECAUSE SHE WAS SO SCARED TO SHOW FEELINGS, SHE WAS ALWAYS PRETENDING TO BE FINE AND BEING “PERFECT” AND NOW SHE CAN ALLOW HERSELF SUFFER AND LET ALL THAT PAIN GO.

LYDIA AND STILES ARE BOTH INDEPENDANT CHARACTERS, THEY HAVE THEIR OWN STORYLINES AND THEIR OWN DEVELOPMENTS, AT THE SAME TIME, THEY’RE LITERALLY LINKED, SO IT’S PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO ONE OF THEM THEY WILL REACT, AND AS A CONSEQUENCE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEM IT’S A PART, THEY HELP EACH OTHER GROW IN EVERY SEASON, HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT

if you like stydia, if you like stalia, if you hate them both, if you love scott or hate him or just hate everyone but theo or jsut love teen wolf as a whole ( such as myself ) than i respect you and i hope you’d respect what other people like. getting angry at someone for liking a ship or not agreeing exactly to what you want is ludicrous and its not fair.

please don’t jump down my throat for simply speaking my opinion and asking for those of you who are angry to calm down. you have the right to be angry- but considering its a television show and they’re not doing anything other than liking a television show- i’d say it should be the least of anyone’s worries.

Yikes, when stalias say the reason they don't ship stydia is bc Lydia ignored him and she owed him to at least talk to him.... YIKES can y'all stop, Lydia doesn't owe Stiles shit and stiles constantly on Lydia's ass doesn't obligate Lydia to give him attention!! Ten Reasons to Love Lydia Martin

10) Lydia Martin is fashionable.

9) Lydia Martin is very loyal (particularly to her Alpha, who everyone else abandoned.)

8) Like Scott, Lydia Martin has the typical traits of a hero. She is selfless and always sacrifices for others. She genuinely wants to help people with her banshee powers, even strangers. She is very much like Scott in this way, even though a lot of people seem to over look that.

7) Lydia is a genius.

6) Lydia Martin is sassy and never misses an opportunity to unveil a witty remark.

5) Lydia's birthday is in March, like all the cool kids.

4) Lydia pulls through every traumatizing and damaging event she goes through, even when she goes through most of it alone. She is very strong and resilient.

3) Lydia's banshee abilities are so unique and interesting.. they really should make a spin off for banshees or about a banshee so we can get the full understanding and more super cool screams (I LOVE Lydia's scream btw)

2) Lydia Martin is a well-rounded character. She has flaws like any one, makes bad decisions, doesn't understand her powers... but it's okay because she's (mostly) human!
