Being a Global Citizen
We live on a planet all together, we breath the same air, drink the same water, eat the food grown on the same Earth. It’s a planet we have to protect. Many think if they do something, nothing will change. A change of their behavior will not stop wars, will not stop the climate change. But they’re all wrong, totally wrong. Every movement, every action you do can change something. Just waist less food or pick up rubbish you see while walking along a beach. Wear a pullover instead of heating up your house to 25°C and don’t use your car instead of walking a few meters. We can do it together, we change everything if we work together.
Stop thinking as an individual, start thinking as humankind!
This doesn’t mean you have to stop being yourself or you’re not allowed to make own decisions anymore. Think twice before your buy something, ask yourself this question as an example: is it worth to spend less money on a product produced by children in the Philippines where the waist water flows directly in to the sea? Or is it worth to buy bananas produced in Middle America with pesticides killing the farmers slowly?
I hear so many people saying wars are evil, wars are bad. Of course I share this thinking but you have to think further. To live in peace to live on an Earth without wars and with equality you have to step out of your own boarders and think about what you could change to help the world and as soon as you did it go out and yell loud: «I’m a Global Citizen, I didn’t use my car to go shopping, I used the bus. » or «I’m a Global Citizen, I took the rubbish with me as I went hiking. » as an example.
Share this to let everybody know, that he can change something even if it’s only a small thing. If you still think this small actions are «amounted to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean. » «Yet what is any ocean but a multitude of drops? »
