pro-israelis never show any empathy towards Palestinians and never acknowledge Israel's role to play in the suffering of Palestinians. you can SAY "I'm pro Palestine" but in WHAT way are you? are you just uncomfortable with being called a racist?

I think the bigger issue actually is that so-called "Pro Palestinians" never show any empathy towards Palestinians or Jews and never acknowledge Palestinian leadership's role to play in the suffering of Palestinians and Jews. you can SAY "I'm pro Palestinian" or "I'm not antisemitic" but in WHAT way are you? are you just uncomfortable with being called a racist in believing that Palestinians are wholly unable to stop themselves from raping and slaughtering and firing rockets at Israeli population centers from Palestinian apartment buildings and schools, thus turning those buildings into military targets, and wholly unable to stop themselves from rejecting every attempt to share land peacefully since 1947? It's just in their nature to do so or something as the noble savages they are?

Or maybe Palestinians are full on human beings with the capacity to chart another course for peacefully sharing land but simply refuse to do so because they hate Jews so much they would rather start and lose wars repeatedly than just living in peace? Israel's conduct has nothing to do with this. Proof: Israel didn't exist in 1947 when Palestinian leadership refused the UN partition plan. Israel hadn't even existed for a few hours when Palestine and the surrounding Arab nations declared a war to "Push the Jews Into the Sea".

You gave yourself away when you accused pro-Israel folks of saying we are "Pro-Palestine". We are not, not usually anyway. We are "pro-Palestinian". We support the people. Not an ideal of a Jew-free ethnostate run by those who descend from 2000 years of foreign colonizers on indigenous Judean land. These invaders on our land have been here before the Middle East got carved up arbitrarily into "countries". As such they have no other "country" to go to. They are stateless Ottoman colonial refugees. And like any other group with national aspirations they probably deserve some sort of place to live and be autonomous.

But consider 1.6 million Palestinians already live in a place where they have full Western-standard rights, live in a democracy where even their women can vote, have no limits to careers they can enter unlike in the Apartheid state of Lebanon, and live in a place where a Muslim Supreme Court Justice helps to throw a Jewish President of the country in jail for his crimes. That place is Israel. Many Palestinians living in West Bank (and before Oct 7 in Gaza as well) have the opportunity to commute into Israel to work and receive high western salaries.

I support Palestinians and their right to be autonomous. However they want to do so on land that is not theirs. Should they be accepting of a state that exists just in Gaza and the West Bank, I think they should be allowed that State. The problem was we did an experiment with this in 2005 in Gaza and see what happened?

There is no race issue. There is a propaganda issue that exists especially within the Gaza Strip that causes people to choose hate of the other over life of the self.

Their government needs to be uprooted and replaced and they need to be re-educated not to hate just like the Nazis were in Germany after World War II.

When Palestine can exist as a state next to and alongside the Jewish one, you may hear me say I am Pro-Palestine. Right now I am just pro-Palestinian because the governments of places calling themselves "Palestine" have accomplished nothing at all for their people but the death of Palestinians and Israelis.

Activists targeted Trump’s Turnberry golf course and hotel in southwest Scotland overnight, painting “Gaza Is Not For Sale” in giant letters on the lawn and using red spray paint on the club house’s exterior wall.

The group Palestine Action said it “rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he likes.”

“To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance,” it said in a statement.

like i said before, i don't mess with shaun king like that, but that being said, many things about one thing can be true at the same time. it is very clear that there is a wave of censorship happening across social media against pro-palestinian content in favor of israeli propaganda. so whether or not you like shaun or not, it is very clear what is happening and why. there is clearly a genocide happening in gaza that is being perpetuated by colonizing power. a genocide against an indigenous population for land, resources, and power. basically the same thing america did to the natives here. had it not been for people like shaun king (flawed as he may be), many people would not be aware of the heinous acts of israel against the palestinian people right now. so even as someone who is not a shaun king fan, i am not so myopic in my view of things to not realize that he served a positive purpose when it comes to the israeli genocide of palestinians.

on a much larger scale, whenever a platform or a power attacks someone popular, one of the goals is to send a message to everyone else that they are not safe and that they should back off. it's like a football coach picking on and cursing out their hall of fame quarterback. when everyone else who isn't as popular or powerful sees that on the team, they immediately realize that they must fall in line or worse can happen to them. that's the goal of banning shaun king from ig. however as a black man who understands how connected all oppressive systems are, we cannot slow down. may i remind all my brothers and sisters that israel is where police forces like the nypd go and train in abusive violent tactics, which they then come back to america and overwhelmingly exercise on black and brown bodies. so if you think this does not affect you, you are sadly and deeply mistaken. additionally, this kind of censorship is going to spread. if we don't fight back, it won't be long before you will be arrested for speaking out against israel. this is what israel wants, and they have the money and political power to make it happen. you can either sit back and let it happen or you can fight back. however, make no mistake, it's coming, and this is the first major blow that the enemy has struck in their offensive against our free speech.
