Why don’t you ship ZADR? Like, it’s perfectly fine

i think i’ve answered this before but i’ll redo this ig

So, I don’t ship it for a couple reasons

the general stigma around it

i find general romantic relationships uncomfortable. Kissing and romantic holding makes me feel uncomfortable (i probably need to talk about that in therapy but eh)

i just don’t like it. i find it weird, as zim and dib are actual enemies in the show. i feel like they might be able to be friends (but that’d be weird too, as they’d have to go through some shit to be friends)

Zim isn’t shown to know earth culture at all, it’s even shown in the comics (vol 3 to be specific) as Zim literally asks if Dib is a female because he even says, and i’m reading straight off the page here, ‘wait, are you female? i can never tell with humans’, showing that Zim is so unintelligent in earth culture that he dosnt even know what gender dib is, so it messes me up that they’d be kissing as Zim probably dosnt even know what it means, and he probably dosnt even feel the emotions behind kissing, so its weird, especially the nsfw area as, again, he dosnt even understand what gender dib is, much less what that stuff means. Idk, i find it a little, eh, you know (i don’t wanna write the word down)

it is canon that Zim dose not feel romance. In one of the unaired episodes Zim literally says to minimoose ‘if i could feel love i might just’, and yes i know that canon surrounding invader zim is always shaky but still. This reason is actually why i don’t ship anyone in invader zim, because irkens simply don’t feel attraction, romantic or sexual

and btw the age difference dose bother me but most people age dib up so i won’t really meantion that

i also find the general ‘i headcanon this character as [insert gender/sexuality]' weird too, but i wont get into that can of worms
