Shower

send me a word and i’ll write a/some headcanon(s) about it

If you want shower sex headcanons, you’re going to be mostly disappointed.

Viktor takes forever to shower, okay, we all accept that. When Viktor had long hair, his showers were up to an hour long, a meticulous process of relaxation and of making sure that he would be as clean as he wants to be. After he cut his hair, his shower time got cut down a considerable amount, because he didn’t have to spend forever washing his hair and it was strange.

Viktor used showers as a time to think. They were a time for him to get back into a good head-space and to just take a deep breath and get ready for whatever he was facing. He’s a morning showerer, but sometimes at night, after a long day of meetings or of long practice, he’ll just go to his shower and stand there, letting the water beat down on him and just letting himself breathe.

Yuuri became a night showerer in Detroit, if two or three am still counts as ‘night’. He’d keep them as short as he could, mostly because he just wanted to go back to his bed and pass out there. 

On days of competitions, Yuuri’s showers are much longer, they’re him breaking down or calming down from a long day of hard physical and mental activity. These are the days that Viktor is waiting outside of the bathroom with a warm drink and blanket and they curl up on their bed and just hold each other.

Showering together is a whole mix of things, honestly. Sometimes, it’s frantic shower sex (in a variety of ways - anything that won’t cause them to slip and have to explain that injury). Sometimes, it’s Yuuri sagging against Viktor, exhausted from a day of life, and just needing to be held, and to let Viktor have total control. Sometimes, it’s the opposite, Viktor falling apart and being open and vulnerable in Yuuri’s arms.

No matter what it is, Viktor 100% purrs every time Yuuri pulls his fingers through his hair, and Yuuri nearly cries the first time Viktor washes him off because he’s just so genuine in how much he loves every bit of Yuuri.
