He didn't want to admit it at first. Seeing her give anyone but him that smile of hers made him see red. Not green. No. It was more than that. Nick was jealous, yes. But he also felt a little homicidal. Which was exactly the opposite of the goal. Sure, he made sneaky backhanded deals with the devil, he offered up souls like they were his to give and used Shadysiders as fodder for his own gain. But this time he wanted to take a knife and shove it right through that asshole's neck.
"Of course I'm jealous." Nick finally replied, moving closer to her and pressing her against the wall. "You smiled at him. That smile is mine. Always has been. Always will be." Lowering his voice, he licked his lips as he looked her over. "Tell me it's mine, Caroline." Nick leaned closer, lips brushing hers with every word, but he didn't quite kiss her. "Tell me you're mine."
