Counseling

Inspired by this post (I didn't want to hijack it and put it all in a reblog)

Roman needs couple's therapy - he can't miss it this time. He has had to cancel the last four appointments because his idiot of a boyfriend can't be bothered to show up. Can't be bothered to spend the time to work on their relationship.

Maybe he should have known a while ago that it wasn't going to work, but damn it, he wants it to work. He wants his happily ever after, even if there was a little bit of work involved. Besides, a prince is supposed to work for his true love, anyways. Right?

But he isn't going to miss the appointment this time. He is going to go into the appointment and get this thing going, and figure it out from there.

Roman goes to the therapist's office, and as he's waiting in the waiting room, there's one other boy there. Waiting alone, looking at his phone and sinking down into his faded yellow hoodie. Maybe he's a one-on-one patient. Roman doesn't know, doesn't really care.

"Roman Garcia and Cass Hardell?" the secretary calls with her clipboard in hand. Time to go in.

Roman stands up, and the secretary looks at him over her glasses for a second before understanding silently that Cass isn't there. She leads Roman back to the therapist's room, and he goes in and sits down.

"Good afternoon, Mr...." the therapist starts, looking at his client sheet.

"Garcia. Roman Garcia. Cass isn't here, is that..."

"Oh," the doctor pauses. "I'm afraid we'll have to reschedule if Mr Hardell isn't here. Couple's counseling requires both--"

There's a knock at the door that interrupts him. The door opens after only a second, and the boy from the waiting room enters, giving Roman a small smile. "Hey babe, sorry I'm late," he says before looking at the doctor. "Cass Hardell. How are ya?"
